tiny update, finally got round to doing the fan mod so i can turn the fan on at the flick of a switch, was tricky figuring out the right wires to cus from the four fan controller solanoids

also got rid of the center console ready for the hydro!

made a very crap switch panel out of an old computer housing:smash:

it works so thats all that matters

next to come! (in my week off soon)

engine out to cure oil leak
    fix blowing on turbos/exhaust
    turbo simplification mod
replace all vac hoses for silicone
    engine back in!

    Just a quick note !
check that the metal cap in each of them filters is on tidy, as i gave one to a mate who used it on a bmw and it sucked the end in, lucky the bmw had a maf. cause if on the 7 it would of been sucked straight down into the turbo !!!!!!!!

    Car looks sweet btw.

i know you said that you used rattle cans but you really have got a good finish on those wheels

What did you do? prime them with alloy wheel paint and then just some matt black car paint ? or proper alloy wheel stuff ?

    Sound :)

I like your style, your obviously quite knowledgeable with the paint so thought i'd ask ;)

Its all looking good :) ... but wont matt black with laquer on top make it gloss ???

you planning on painting the car yellow in the future ??

i left the matt black masked off when i laquered so its only added gloss to the yellow

im not sure about colour to be honest, i cant really afford to go spending money on a full respray, got more important things to buy first

if it starts looking tatty after a bit of abuse tho i would like to diy it nato green:D

    thanks stavros

theres a few jobs i need to do before i can have a good day at it

plus i still have the standard radiator so id rather wait a month or 2 and upgrade the cooling than cook it and havto rebuild!

    wise idea fella

Best to sort the car first and then drift em ! as they have a tendancy to go pop !

i've just bought an fd with 60k on the clock and it runs spot on. however it hasnt had a rebuild ! rather than than fook it sitting at high revs all day and throwing a tip im going to rebuild it and then sort the cooling out ! plus i wont take the decat off which makes it run lean !

Careful preperation will save heart ache in the future.

(ps. thanks for the info on the wheels, i may pinch your idea tho ;) )

    Sounds good fella,

Was yours a bargin in the end? a cheap rx7 with a rebuild seems to be about £4-5k ??

Im currently in Manchester however in 4 weeks i'll be moving to Wakefield West Yorkshire (between sheffield and leeds)

The wheels would probably only be drift items but its always nice to do it properly ;) plus yours look like a good finish !

I'd probably just sand em down, wet and dry, then prime,...mask and paint..laquer then your done !...

Anyhow back to the Rx7 build ! sorry for the hi-jack :)

looking sweet mate, dont botherr welding the diff, alot of hassle on the torrsion, trust i tried lol, but my standard diff lastest me 6 months every day driving, 8 drift days and 2 demo days, so they are man enough for abit. would say get a kaz 2 way, just fitted one to mine and its awsome :)

ally rads you should phone apex as there rads are wicked, and if youve ditched the aircon will fit in standard location, and they massive 2 :)

wheels look fooking awsome chap nice job

you know where your putting your hydro yet could post a pic of where mine is for you if you like,

but fair play looks awsome and should be a laugh, makes me wonder though, evberyone slates the 7's, oh they blow up, oh there unreliable lol, but more and more people are turning to the dark side, not that im moaning lol, :p

keep it up mate and get skidding,

just had a thought, tim at rx motors has a brand new apex rad, we demo fitted it into my car, going up there 2moz will find out if its still there and how much, it hasnt even been driven on, just fitted and pressure tested :)
