Flat Out Factory Drift Workshop at Birmingham Wheels

    Friday the 27th September

The Flat Out Factory drift team are putting on a series of workshop days aimed at the beginner to intermediate drivers that want to practise and improve their skills under the watchful eyes of some of the best drifters that the sport has to offer!!

Birmingham wheels has been home to both drift practise days and competitions for many years. The venue lends itself to extremely close twin drifting and because of this the first workshop day is going to be held here and is dedicated to helping improve twin drifting techniques.

A mixture of classroom theory sessions and track time will give you the best opportunity of building on your skills and take your drifting to the next level!!

The day will start with a classroom session from your instructors for the day. They will be going over the aims for the day and some basic techniques that will be practiced.

The group will then be split in to 2 smaller groups and the day will be spent both on the track and in the classroom developing your skills.

Helping the guys attending to progress will be some of the best tutors in the business..

Luke Fink, Stephen (Stiggy) Evans and Kenny Lam (amongst others) will all be on hand for the day helping to explain techniques, car set ups and help with feedback and advise on your driving styles!! All these guys are a wealth of information and are well known for their flat out driving styles!!

The emphasis on this day is in twinning. You can ‘buddy up’ with your existing drift partners for the day or team up with someone new on the day at the venue!

We suggest that due to the intensive nature of the days track and classroom sessions that you may want to bring someone along to help pit for you with tyre changes etc so you don’t miss out on any practical or classroom sessions. Included in every drivers entry fees is also a ticket for 1 member of pit crew.

In addition to the twinning workshop on the main track we are also holding a basic skills workshop at the venue.

This is for the guys that are new to drifting. Here you will work on key skills such as donuts, figure of 8’s, slalom tracks and then more advanced techniques as the day progresses.

This will be held away from the walled oval on another part of the venue.

C and J tyres (the official tyre van of the BDC) will be in attendance to take care of all your tyre changing requirements. Please contact them directly with any special requests for tyres to be supplied at the track.

The day will start with a drivers briefing at 8am. Track opens at 9am. Lunch is from 12-1. Close of day is 6pm and we need to all have left the site by 7pm.

Numbers are strictly limited for this day :

32 drivers for the Twinning workshop
8 drivers for the Basic skills workshop

Prices are £89 per car (including entry for 1 member of pit crew)

    Spectators £5
    Passengers £15

Booking can be made through Paypal at Sendittotom@hotmail.co.uk

There is no need to pay for spectators or passengers in advance.
