Like many others we have chosen a Ford Sierra for a starter drift car. It's this old girl:

She's a 1990 2.0 DOHC 115 BHP, and the plan is to install an old Chevy 350ci/5.7L V8 in her.

We started by tearing out all the unnecessary weight, and then we got started on a new dashboard.

    More updates to come. :smokin:

Not really, yet. We have only had a dirt field to drive on, and it isn't quite the same as asphalt.

As much as I love V8 Sierras, surely you'd be best off just using the car with the current engine for a bit as its a 'starter' car? I had a crappy Sierra with the same engine as a drift car years ago, works well.

    Update

We are converting the engine to an electric waterpump, and also feed pump.

The next part is getting the motor ready for some paint.

Because we are using an electric feed pump, then we can block of the hole for the mechanical one.

Here's a shot of the distributor. We hope to convert to electronic ignition sometime in the future, when the car has been running a bit.
