got forza for christmas, been playing it today and just wondered why cant u use tuned cars in any of the series(apart from quick upgrades). i just spent 80 grand tuning up my car for it to then say it is not eligible due to mods. so i click change it back so it complies, only to find the 80 grands worth of mods have gone down the drain.

Unless they're tuned up to, or below the class the race is for.

As far as I know it only depends if your car meets the various regs. E.G if you enter a race where the max allowance is a Class B, anything above will not be allowed, If you enter a race thats only for a Stock one make then any mods would make it not longer elligable. Other than that its pretty free from what I can see. I was using some hugely modded cars in season play today. Never really had an issue, found they are far more free with what they allow in this on than previous ones.

And once youve bought the gear for that car, theyre "owned" so you can refit them whenever.

As said above just check that your car fits the regs for each series. If, for example, you enter the 'coupe open' or whatever it's called then it doens't matter what you're running as long as it's a coupe. Could be 1000 horse, computer won't care. IF, however, you're entering the 'Class E' catagory then obviously your upgrades no longer allow you to enter. I found all this when it took me to my first 'major' event and, since then, haven't used season play, merely the race select menu.

spent a few hours last night just trying to get used to drifting, had an e46 m3, drifting suzuka short circuit, got pretty good but really wish the cars had more lock.

Just go into the upgrade bit again and all the bits you've already bought have a tick by them. Just select them. The cars do need more lock and you should be able to go over 90 degrees too!!
