So! some of you will know me as the guy who drives this:

After doing bdc ive now decided i dont want to compete anymore and just want a nice street car again, the s13 has a full multipoint cage in it, fully stripped etc etc so doesnt make the nicest of dailys... always loved 32's and after selling my last one ive always wanted another.

So it begins, picked this up from a friend as i know the history of the shell and theres hardly any rot on it

got stripping straight away, needed it to just be one lump of steel!

Then i got the angle grinder out, basically going to be transferring everthing accross from the 13

Did this to mates s14 shell :smash:

Took alot of measurements from the 13 and starting welding in!

oh and this happened when taking one of the rear 1/4 glass out

The front end was pretty bent so i had to do alot of straightening, made a new bumper bar, mocked it all up roughly and all is good

The rear 1/4's have had a rough life so paint stripped then back to bare and alot of panel beating has been going on

Once all the prep work on the shell was done i took it to be sand blasted and red oxide primered!

Offered up a wheel on a jack just to check i had the flare how i wanted it :smokin:

Got top gun emery to make me up some offset bushes so i can stick a 14 subframe on it

And because you have to have abit of motivation i got a steering wheel for it... a long way off that yet but it was there to be bought :p

Thats everything thats happened in the last month or so... progress should be pretty constant, will be going to work on it as soon as i finish typing

    :dw:

at the weekend i stripped down the subframes and the fuel tank, took the bushes out of the subframe cleaned it up with a wire wheel on an angle grinder... the front subframe was still in good condition so only had to clean it to make it back to new! the rear subframe is s14 and the front is r33

The tank straps had a fair amount of surface rust on them so i ground them down to bare and painted them up so there like new :)

had a big dent in the rear 1/4 so had to get the slide hammer out :) this is almost completely straight now will have more updates at the end of the week

last weekend i decided to hit the underside with primer grey, had to get it up on its side to do so (it is ratchet strapped not just a broom lol) you can also see ive seam sealed it from this pic :)

more updates to come soon :)

    update time :D

its been a while as alot of time has been taken doing the prep on the shell to make sure its perfectly straight so i can be even more upset when im clipping rear 1/4's lol

i also took the engine out of my 13 so its ready to go into the 32 :)

then finally got it ready to be primed a few days ago

i had already primed the underside at this point but i forgot to take a pic...

started hitting it with the primer!

    and job done

no way was i going to lay under the car to rub it all down so got my health and safety out and tied it to a door handle again lol

and hit it with some black :D

the car is now 100% immaculate and i can start bolting it together just got put some stone chip on the underside :) the rear 1/4's havnt been painted yet because i need a friends help blocking the primer perfectly so that will be done next week!
