Looking back though the thread when the engine was forged it had white rocker covers and cam covers so today I f**ked work of for the morning and picked up my cam belt and sprayed these up
Yh much loved but costing a pretty penny. When the head came of everything looked brand new, I just misplaced the spec list so had to do the head gasket before it was mapped.
Little by little it's getting back together. The head is back on, The cam belt has been changed, the 6boost is on, the turbo has been rotated and fitted. When I left the inlet was being put together and there was a slight problem with the ejectors not fitting the loom but at £12 a set of plugs it's not the end of the world.
Cheers mate, going turbosmart 48mm external. Probably gonna vent to atmosphere coz it does sound cool lol. I'm not a fan of screamers though the bonnet so for now it's going under the car but tempted to put it though the wing. I like cars that look thrown together (Mad Max Style).
1 more question for you Haza, where did you get the metallic pipe wrap/insulation? I need to relocate the power steering reservoir and re wrap a lot of pipe work.
Still a lot more to do. The injectors are being flow tested and fitted. Inlet to fmic and turbo to fmic pipes are being fabricated. Wastegate needs fitting then custom downpipe and screamer. Link ECU fitted and mapped. Z32 brakes all round and lowering the drivers seat. Think that's everything?? For now...
The inlet, throttle body and fuel rail all came from China and cost £300 delivered. The throttle body is 80mm, the throttle position sensor has to changed but I think that's pretty standard. It came with a top feed fuel rail as well. I know lots of people hate on the Chinese stuff but with a little clean up it fits fine. I guess the proof will be in the map
I'm hoping for 2 weeks till it's back. The paint was haza88 and I think it's candy green according to the thread. Booked lydden hill today gonna be in the novice inter to get used to the new power and brake setup
Cheers mate but I brought the car with the RB fitted I can't take any credit for that but I would say if it's something you want to do then you won't be disappointed! I love how it drives and it sounds the nuts too.. I'm hoping to get video of it on the dyno, 1 week now and it should be back!
More stuff.. My car won't be back till next Friday now, long seen as I won't have any time to test it before lydden.
