Hi all, My daily is an s13 with following spec:

    series 1 rb25
    rb25 box
    custom prop
    s14 rear subframe
    offset allu bushes
    adjustable rear toe arms
    adjustable read camber arms
    s14 driveshafts
    5 stud hubs
    4.1 diff welded
    s14 rear arms
    driftworks cs2's
10j rear wheels and 255 rear tyres
    etc etc...

The problem I have is rear end related... When i make a turn (anything under mph really) it makes a clunking noise and the car will kangaroo like i just started driving making me look like a dickhead... If I load the diff up its fine, like put my foot down more and take the corner faster its okayish but still clunks a bit. occasionally i get the standard drive-shaft pop associated with a welded diff so its not that... I'm thinking backlash on the diff? anyone else wana chime in?

Also get wheel hop if i spin the rear wheels off the power ie. boosting second... if i depress the clutch round a corner it sounds like the diff is literally rattling round in the case...

Badly welded diff? Bushes going? Could be something as stupid as top mount/strut tops? It could be many things mate you just need to brace the cold get it up in the air and have a good look mate.

    Cheers
    Josh

Check the diff? if the welding has come loose or something you'll get some weird clunks/locking/popping/silly stuff.
    Your driveshafts are fine?

I think so... I jacked the car up earlier and there's a shit ton of play/backlash. New diff time I think...
