i saw on here a good while back, a video sort of documentary type piece where some guy went to or was living in japan, and was showing the type of parts shops they have over there. well he went into this particular shop that was like a supermarket but with all new and used serious jdm parts, like Ilse of bride seats and shelfs of turbos etc.......
does anyone know the name of this place? or even know where i can view that video piece again and I'll see if i can find out from there.
any help would be much appreciated. cheers

I think you're referring to Up-Garage, as seen in some of the yank DVD's. I think its the slide America one, where there's a couple of guys sitting on the floor in bride seats, pretending to drift holding a nardi wheel in his hands.

Autobacs is, in my opinion, wank.

Its fun to walk around but when I was looking to buy parts it was expensive and mostly stocked with chavtastic parts that would make a ripspeed dealer blush.

some parts sure are ;) Rows of Nardi's for like £15, Iv seen Turbos sell for stupid cash.. i know nout about Turbo's... but they were big, shiney and turbo looking.. and cheap.

The thing i like with UP is that they take in used goods, clean them up and pack them too. Its kinda like ebay.. some UP's are small and a bit empty.. and some are pretty massive with like rooms full of rims.
Iv been to shed loads of them all up and down Japan and found some awsum bargains!

It also seemed like a not bad chill out point, I met up with some local drifters at an UP garage close by to Yashio, was very sureal tbh.. carpark full of Skylines, JZX's, Old Sunny pick ups and S-Bodys going over how to get entries down on the touge. :) The life.

As above though, Autobacs is full of tat but great for a look see, the prices are high though :/
