In the eyes of insurance what do they see as the difference between a (400hp 4 cyl turbo engine) and a (400hp na v8) . Im yet to own a v8 so i have no clue. The car would be under kit car insurance! btw i have tried to speak to one insurance company but they wanted to know exact specifications of exact engines etc.

Pos sr20 det or ls3 i really dont know.

thanks so much for any input. (also i am 21 uk.)

At that age, either will probably cost a bomb. Doing an engine swap will carry more weight than not, so (if this is an S body), the SR tuned will probably be cheaper.

When i did a 1UZ swap, it was coincidentally the same cost difference as removing my cage lol.
