    Hey guys,

I have a JZX110 1JZ with a few basic mods and am looking to get the best out of my current setup.

    I've currently got -

    J-Pipe Delete
    Short ram intake
    Blitz SE FMIC
Full 3.5" turbo back exhaust w/ 4.5" muffler
    Tomei turbo elbow

I'm hitting fuel cut on hard acceleration, mostly in 2nd and sometimes 3rd. Car goes well & pulls hard but runs rich as hell.

Was originally thinking of getting a piggyback or standalone ECU and getting a proper map done, but to be honest i'm not sure it's worth it with the current setup, might wait until i've got a bigger turbo etc.

Instead i've picked up some larger 440cc injectors to support (OEM 2JZ) and i'm thinking of buying an Apexi SAFC air fuel controller to go with them, and lean the car out a bit. I've read that bigger injectors may also raise the factory fuel cut, is this true? I think the 1JZ factory fuel cut is around 1 / 1.1 bar.

Does this sound like a decent plan? Can I expect to gain any power from adjusting the SAFC with this setup?

    Any help/recommendations would be appreciated!

    Kyle

Probably best to research what the factory fuel cut is triggered by first, be it injector duty cycle or whatever (I'm a Nissan guy sorry). If it is that the ECU is seeing the injector duty cycle getting too high then an SAFC is a cost effective option to fix that and help run the bigger injectors.

I wouldn't put an SAFC in without a wideband, but even with one in and road tuning it yourself it will come in under the cost of a dyno session.

Normally the way to get more out of near-factory setups is to also adjust timing along with getting the mixtures right and the SAFC doesn't allow you to do that so don't expect too much

Cheers, read in a few places that a wideband is a must have. Aem ordered! I'll see how I get on road tuning with the bigger injectors.
