    Dude, best driving yet

Going to throw up some foot cam too? Ali's stuff on Steve was interesting, didn't realise how savage his clutch dumps were until that vid

So I got home from London and although I had some fairly legit stuff to do I couldn't be fucked getting stuck in so used some hype wheel cleaner.
    IMG_8424.JPG

    IMG_8425.JPG

    Very hype. Not much clean.

Spent a day trying to fit my Mocal Oil cooler to have nothing but problems and then finally decide to sack it off.

Did an oil change and there was no nasty surprises. Also re-fitted a temp sensor in the sump plug which was swiftly removed seeing the lack of clearance. Also scope that my Sump guard, AKA whiteline ARB has bent to fuck.
    IMG_8432.JPG

Was going to be re-fitting the All-Good decals to the side but looked so good as it was I decided to just leave it as is. (Bumper off for oil cooler fitting.)
    IMG_8444.JPG

Gave the engine bay a little tidy up.
    IMG_8447.JPG

Bumper back on and gave it a wash also.

    IMG_8458.JPG

Final prep before driving down to my mates the night before STL.

    IMG_8473.JPG

Eagle eyes probably noticed something going on in the background of that picture.

    IMG_8481.JPG

    IMG_8482.JPG

If you've watched the on-board video you will have seen I had a bit of a hit.
    upload_2017-8-1_20-42-6.

Had to get towed out which ripped off my tow strap and also my towing eye because of the angle it was pulled at.

Towing it out wrecked my wing and the hit itself ripped the exhaust off the mounts which pulled it right round to the OS which in turn burst my flexi at the elbow. So with the hole at the flexi there was loads of heat pumping into the engine bay so I had to be a bit wise to exhaust temps.

Didn't stop me from sending it for 3 minutes at a time though.

    Thanks mate! Great to hear!
Funny you should say that about the footcam, I had actually bought a 2nd camera to use as footcam having realised how much I use footbrake on initiation and transition etc. Turns out the camera was a piece of shit though so I sent it back.
Yeah Steve is sick as fuck. I'm gutted driving with him was cut short from a boost host flying off as i was just startign to get up close with him on the 2nd run.

Was a different boost hose haha. They're all now flared so shouldn't be coming off.
Yeah I forgot all about having to swap a shaft in the middle of your street haha.

Going to try and do a little bit of the event media. First off Ali has done a small write up of the motor again on STL: http://streettracklife.com/keeves-s13-take-two/

Thanks to Connor, Daze, Adam, Jaime, Russel, Martin, Colin, MM Photography and Kanjo Media for the photos.

First picture is one thats cropped up recently, this was full outer layout and if you check the OSF wheel the car is tripodding which would have been cool if monster energy v8 mannie didnt ruin it.
    20545228_1808208365870904_6337446433253426070_o.

Jaime got this shot on the first day so must have been during my "FUCKITTT" entries run. Way more angle than I thought I was geting.
    20375801_401348866928390_9203641341442826056_n.

And now just a big dump of the rest.

Showing how fucked the front got whilst getting towed out.
    20448899_1654465951233275_6106529464981648777_o.

Also if anyone ever wondered what the rear arch clearance is like when the car is fully loaded haha.

So these are mainly Day 1 photos with a couple day 2 ones also. When more people drop photos I'll post. This is how it sat overnight on the first night due to a boost leak I tried to track down. Boost leak didn't even exist and it was my MAC Sensor dying.

This picture recently came up. Me thinking my weekend was over with the exhaust situation etc.
    IMG_0019.JPG

Also a comparison with Freddies quick handiwork getting the wing back presentable(ish)
    IMG_0021.JPG

When I got home I started to get to work with replacing the flexi that decided on hard brexit after STL.
    Screenshot 2017-12-03 15.55.56.

Was an absolute bastard because I kept fucking it up and where it sat on the car. I eventually had to weld it on the car with the full exhaust in place, which I really should have done in the first place...

Also the MOT had ran out shortly after STL so I had to get sorting out a couple bits. Found a piece of rust in the Drivers side tub that I had bodge-fixed before with a plate. Needless to say I got carried away with cutting.
    6EF20CB7-0E64-4945-BCB7-1C6693FD136D.JPG

And realised there wasn't much point repairing what was there so went off to my guys at Caledonian sheet metal and decided to make the car even more scottish steel.

    IMG_9436.

Fucked up the cut on the Drivers side so had to weld in a second strip which looks like hell but I'll fix it at some point.

    IMG_9452 2.

    IMG_9504.JPG

Passenger side went smoother having known what to do from the drivers side. Its all been welded from Arch-side, will go back and tidy it all up when I've got the engine out next.

    upload_2017-12-3_16-7-9.

Not the prettiest but I don't care. Also cut out large sections of the upper chassis rail so if I were to go up to 18's I'd have clearance. I also wound the coilovers down a bit more but didn't make a huge difference. Need to move where the Air filter sits, remove fuse boxes from the bay and other shit to get it sorted 100% for 2018, which the car will be moved down to England for the year.

Minor things include, Fitting 6x9's into the rear and re-wiring the speaker wire and head unit. IMG_9372.

Finally picked up a period correct bride i've been threatening to do for months.

    IMG_9414.
    IMG_9486.

And also picked up a new helmet to stop screenshots of my crashing face.

    IMG_9387.

Should see it finished before March and hopefully get down to Teesside then get it transported down to some storage in England and kick the shit out of it at Rockingham days and fix what breaks.

Oh and if anyones interested the VSXX are for sale...

Any good drift car update needs to include ICE

RIP VSXX version. Hints on the new flavour? Or undecided? Or being a cock tease?

Going to be a while before I can update properly so may as well post whats happened over Christmas...

So I got home around the 20th and the car was sitting like this. IMG_0444 2.

Which was fuckin ideal as I was expecting this.

    IMG_0426.JPG
    IMG_0427.JPG

First things first, had to finish off the MOT prep. Had a "small" bit of damage from getting towed out from Freddies corner at a daft angle.

    IMG_0466.

Ratchet strap, Vice grips and a welder later.

    IMG_0467.

Also arsed about for ages trying to get my AFM in a reasonable position with the tubbed arches, Lucky the 45 degree bend did the job but I had to bodge my old Z32 Apexi onto it as my HKS wouldn't fit anymore.

    IMG_0419.
(Yep the original fusebox is squeezed in there too)

With it being Christmas work was slow as fuck with seeing family/drinking. Greeted one of the mornings I had set aside for the car with this.

    IMG_0478.

Note the swagged out flat tyre fitment.

    IMG_0479.

Car spun round and back up in the air I could get stuck into sorting the inner rear pocket that was killed by the trip up Freddies bank. Didn't take a photo post-repair but basically cut out the majority of this, mallet to get the bumper sitting alright with the rear 1/4 then welded in a single sheet of 2mm. Mad how crusty these UK motors get so quickly, I sealed all of this when it went through my first MOT.

    IMG_0520.

Also had to repair a bit of the inner arch as the Crail crash had fucked that join so its all sorted and good for the MOT.

Both of my Shafts had burst CV boots so decided it was time to bang in my 4.3 and Skyline shafts.

    IMG_0649.JPG

Always forget how much of a cunt the job is by yourself. Was balancing the fucker on a jack with one hand taking the weight and the other trying to line it up. Fell off the jack towards me once and I was thinking "I better recruit my old boy before it breaks my arm" but couldn't be arsed dragging both of us outside in the pissing wet. got it in no bother tho.

Main event I guess, Went down to Driftland at Hogmanay to see the lads that were driving. Picked up the 2018 wheels at the same time...

    IMG_0529.

    18x9 and 18x10 Chrome Minerva's off Fallon's Mark2.

Did a test fit of the rears hungover as fuck on New years day.

    IMG_0541.

After sobering up and stopped feeling like hell I did another test fit of the front and rears.

    IMG_0552.

    IMG_0555.

    IMG_0559.

I've sent some S14 LCA's down to Dan @ Destroy to extend and notch as this is the most camber I can run with my +20's and its needing a bit more lowering to sit how I want so the camber/LCA's will take care of that.

If you are hawk eye'd you'd have noticed I had test fitted the front and rears with the same amount of dish....

    IMG_0545.

    IMG_0546.JPG

Bought some lips from threepiece.us so I have taken the LO faces from the 9's and swapped them into the barrels of the 10's, then split the 9" barrels to re-lip and re-fit with the SL faces.

Annoyingly the lips arrived the day after I went back to London, but asked my dad to make sure that the drilling was okay, lined up and will all build no bother. Obviously got a couple photos from his potato phone too.

    IMG_0613.PNG IMG_0614.PNG

    Final specs are 18x10 et24 front 4" lip, 18x11 et24 rear 5" lip.

I did some test fits of the 10" SL disc with a 26mm spacer to see how much work I'm going to have to do to make them fit.
    IMG_0531.

    IMG_0537.

Very, very light hammering/rolling required to make them fit. Ordering up tyres so that I can get them all on for when i am back next at the end of Feb. Then its MOT and then sourcing transport down near Corby for Rockingham days this year!

So this is its final guise of 2017.

    IMG_0594. IMG_0595.

    IMG_0480.
