{} {} Afternoon, I’ve been doing a lot of looking into drift builds and different chassis to start of with and I came to the conclusion.. I have no idea as to what would suit me . I’m a huge fan of all the S-chassis’s, BMW’s but obviously being an entry level I don’t want to break the bank. however I do have a Toyota MR2 1993 SW20 3S-GTE w/ 78,600 on the dash with receipt of history and a dyno sheet of 270bhp from previous owner. It is a 90% finished project as it was running badly 2 years ago, as it turns out the previous owner installed the veil side spoiler with no car and water fried the ECU. Since being changed it runs perfect. I am debating on selling it but I would 100% need the right price as I’ve had the car 4 years and it is my first turbo’d car. Plus it has a new radiator and hoses, exhaust gaskets, disc’s and pad’s, 3” single exit exhaust and has HKS turbo timer, HKS intercooler and HKS induction kit. I haven’t looked at prices on other MR2’s with this mileage but last time I checked ones with 100,000miles were valued at £5000ish ♂️ HMU if your looking to swap or px and cash my way thanks for reading {}
If you need a entry level drift build i would soften the suspension in the rear. You could also shift the weight distribution to a 52/48 for better grip in the front, since it's a mid engine. That would compensate for some of the oversteer that you could encounter in a mr2 btw a tight 3,000 rpm 48 kmh turn in 2 gear is usually best for initiating a drift.
