I've recently installed a used OS giken 2 way LSD into my silvia and was wondering when you should change the oil in these plated LSD's?
OS Gilken recommend this OS-250R Full Synthetic Gear Oil The OS-250R was specifically formulated to provide maximum performance and smooth comfort for the OS Giken Super Lock LSD. SAE Rated at 80w-250, it is the top choice by race teams for protection and durability, yet maintains street-drive ability. (Not recommended for transaxle applications.) But it is their own product so will be bias but I am sure there will be other brands that sell the same stuff
I've put in castrol b373 Oil into the diff as the OS giken stuff seems overpriced. Was wondering more on the interval between oil changes than the oil itself.
Best to contact OS I suppose, but don't be surprised if it's about 2000 miles. You'd probably do well to use the right oil too, most specify synthetic oils, which B373 is not.
