I've had my UK spec Supra TT 6 speed for nearly 8 years now although it's been off the road since July '09 as I've been too busy with work, getting married, kids and an R35 GTR!
I've now sold the GTR and have decided this is the year I try drifting and I'm trying to decide whether to resurrect the Supra or buy something better suited.
The Supra is slightly modded running approx. 420bhp on std. internals, 6 pot brakes, Rota GTR's, Toyo R888's, BC Racing coilovers

I don't know if I could bring myself to get rid of it but not sure if it's any good to drift, obviously it goes sideways but I'm thinking it might be a bit heavy for proper drifting? I've certainly not seen many on DW!
Is there much out there for modifying Supra's to drift properly? Any easy cheap mods available to improve it? Or should I just buy something more suited? Any advice welcome!! Thanks

There not used because there still fairly expensive cars, i don't see any reason why it wouldn't be awesome. The wheelbase isn't that small is it?

As jamespayne5 said, the main reason they arent used is they are still quite an expensive car to buy and to modify, The soarer is quite popular with drifting and it shares roughly the same chassis as the supra and weight

She just started 1st time no probs after 18 months sat gathering dust! Just need to spend a day with the forklift trying to get it out of the store now!!

Supra's are cheaper in England than Japan. That would be a bad move.

I don't know what diff these have as standard, but surely with 420bhp it shouldn't have much trouble spinning up the rear wheels ? And with the money from selling the R35 (I don't know you circumstances so i'm just going to make a presumption you still have a bit of it left) personally I would spend £600 on a good 2way :)

Looks awesome dude, and a bit of inspiration from the guys at Formula D

sounds like all you need is a diff and you have a competative drift car.. if you dont mind it getting abit bent up then go for it..
