My original current mileage is 266898km, i swap my new gauge in but it show 1630022KM which show low number.

Im just concern about MOT if they found out mileage number is low?. Will i get in trouble if they find out or will they able help to change correction mileage?

I was thinking doing adjust correction mileage my self but i think it illegal is right?

    Correction isn't illegal.
Clocking cars to hide the true miles is.

On my MX5, as the clocks were changed, it went from about 100,000 to 693 about 10 years ago lol.

    It won't effect the MOT.

All an MOT inspector does is type in the mileage on the computer so it shows up on the MOT certificate.
The inspector doesn't care what the mileage is.

It's the same scenario if someone's speedo head broke and replaced it with a second hand one, the mileage would then read different.

Ok Going MOT Next week hopefully, I just looked at my mot paper showed record previous mileage.

So look like i need to let them know my mileage is low which supposed to be not. So i won't get in trouble.

You can tell them about the mileage difference, but they really won't care lol

Only difference is going to show on the MOT is lower mileage.

If you have evidnce to back this up i.e installation of new engine etc all is good. When time comes to sell thugh i think most would walk away after looking at this.
