Bought an mx5 mk1 there and left it parked up for a few days, went back to it today and had to jump start it and the lights kept popping up and down and then the warning lights started going on. It wouldnt stop even when I turned it off and took the key out. I left it running and it will stop for a while then all of a sudden start again. Anyone know anything about mx5's or why that would be happening? I recently got round to trying a few things with the electrics. The lights will now pop up after I manually wind them down. They will go up when I press the pop up button and when I turn on the lights. But they wont come down now. I have heard that there is two diodes in each headlight motor and there is one for up and another for down. Unless the one for down is blown? Anyone had any problems with their mx5's or know anything about it?
