    Those harnesses with those seats will do more harm than good, you need a proper bucket with them, or at least a seat with cut outs.

    They look quite deceiving, when your strapped in, they still fit around you really well. Buckets i think are on the agenda though

    After Spending a week at Bara Motorsport in Bromsgrove having a rebuild, the diff arrived back home.

    Complete with a new load of bearings, seals and the KAAZ LSD.

    [IMG]

    Looks like the previous owner had welded the old diff up throught the shaft holes and very kindly left all the bits of weld spatter in the diff...

    [IMG]

    As you can see it is pretty big sized pieces with the only casualty being a pinion bearing cracking open, how the pinion and crown wheel escaped without damage is beyond me.

    Anywho, the weekend shall see it bolted in and then plumbing the rest of the Engine in...

    Sooo a big day today, got the Diff bolted in along with all the other bits.

    Chucked some fuel in and the battery and fired it up for the first time in a year;

    Sounds a bit tappety but i'm glad to say it has cleared, the exhaust has a blow as we kinda bodged it on just so we could see if it starts and runs OK :smash:

    Stainless Cat Back to follow i think.

    Once the coolant system was bled and the engine checked for any leaks, we dropped it off the ramps.

    [IMG]

    Really chuffed its almost ready to run, got a few little bits to sort before MOT and a a fair chunk of welding too!

    Will get some images of the grot up soon...

    MOT time is just around the corner, had to replace the leaky washer bottle with a new one but struggled to find anywhere to put it...

    Seen a few guys removing the Carbon Cannister without any problems so it turned out to be a perfect fit :smash:

    [IMG]

    Broke out the rattle cans and got the Roof and A posts painted satin black and also got the rest of the wheels done;

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Just leaves the welding left to get done so its gonna be a busy weekend!

    Well the welding is iminent but had a cheeky delivery to take my mind of it for a bit...

    My pre ordered Zilla Death Tune Shifter turned up...!

    [IMG]

    And ordered myself a Whiteline strut brace from work...

    [IMG]

    So this weekend, i pulled the front bumper off (Couldnt get it up the ramps!)

    [IMG]

    Had a poke around the sills which left this, pretty sure most woulda bailed on it but hey ho...!

    [IMG]

    Fair to say i have my work cut out, good news is I came home to find the wife had brought me a present;

    [IMG]

    Win!

    Welding is the only thing stopping me getting an MOT so gonna crack on asap..

    Have fun! Just finished one side of mine! If you can afford it, buy replacement panels! Cutting and bending sheet for replacements takes the piss! And expect there to be more than you first think! :) I love the car though! Great job on the engine bits!

    Thanks dude.

    Broke out the grinder and it gets worse! lol

    Gonna need a complete outer sill on the nearside, both outer rear sill plates and the inner sill repair panel for the driver side along with some sheet metal work.

    Looking about £170 worth of panels from the bay.

    It's easy enough...

    Decided to bust out the welder as it's been a good few years sines I last tried,

    [IMG]

    Think it's not too bad! :-)

    As an added note, new panels have arrived, so with 2 free days this weekend I gonna do my best to get it sorted!

    [IMG]

    Wish me luck....!

    Looks like you have made a lot of progress. Keep up the good work.

    What are you doing with the welds once you have ground them down? And will you be grinding them down?
