    Hi all,
My mx5 has started making an awful racket during daily driving
Obviously having a locked diff it was always gna be shit to live with but now almost everytime i turn a corner at fairly slow speed there is a big clunk from the rear end, I have checked all the bushes and they all seem fine so I took it to a garage and they didn't find anything wrong.
Has anybody else had this issue and how can I sort it out?

That's a fair point I haven't checked it since the diff was welded. Il get on that tomorow.
    Thanks mate

Mine does something similar but not too worried. Checked the top mounts are tight and that the driveshafts aren't snagging the springs? Checked on mine as well as for movement in ppf bits. My diff weeps a bit of oil but not enough to actually drip on the ground so I tend to top it up when I remember. Didn't sort the clunking though!

check oil in the diff and the prop/drive shaft bolts and wheel bearings for play.

i had a similar noise when i swapped over to a welded diff...

the extra forces involved could have weakened the bolts or loosened the nuts.

    hope its an easy fix.
