    Three sisters novice day yesterday was great. After a year long break from drifting and the only seat time I’d had was on Assetto Corsa, I was keen to see how much different I would be.

    Turns out i’d progressed a fair bit, but always room for improvement. I had more confidence in the car and felt much more relaxed, leaving me to focus on having fun and enjoying it all. Definitely ready to start hitting the big boy days they do there.

    Cheeky few clips from the day…

    Car was spot on all day, apart from the rear top mounts coming loose. Easily sorted with some thread lock and half hour to sort.

    3DDA2670-BB65-4D24-9466-78FFB5F0520D.

    Back out at B’ham wheels Tuesday, already cant wait.

    Birmingham wheels the other day with the guys at Happy Dayz

    First time driving at B'ham in a few years and the first time drifting their new small circuit.

    The guys put on a fantastic day, complete with free tyre changes, advice, breakfast and more importantly, Pizza..!

    sfgsdf.

    There was also the guys from Thunderwood Racing taking snaps & Droned AF flying around all day and with the opportunity to purchase the footage and pics of your laps either edited or raw.

    Penty of seat time on offer, in between dodging the torrential rain...

    dsg.

    Failing that, the day was great, although very hard on tyres. Not used to chewing my way through 8x brand new tyres in a single skid day. Although 3 degrees of camber doesn't help I guess..!

    ttyt.

    In all, the track was good, even managed to do a wall tap with the front bumper some how. Never felt it, so no big deal lol

    sdfdrg.

    Threw a few GoPro edits of the day together, more so to monitor my personal progression;

    Few pics are in from the day, thanks to Thunderwood Racing;

    So in preparation for Pod in October, I picked up some adjustable rear lower arms, to dial out the camber, now i am running a true-rear coilover setup...

    236664347_10225515246658481_5537722910811816581_n.

    Should do nicely and get me using the whole tyre, rather than just half of it lol.

    In other news, the guys at Droned.AF hooked me up with an awesome edit from last months drift day at B'ham wheels :)

    Also the Low Origin guys put together a decent video of the day too;

    Camber arms are on, surprisingly easy to install, with no seized bolts that is. Much smaller than the OE arm too,

    239324110_10225562737085712_5431440083913013381_n.

    Will get it in for an alignment, looking at 0 degree's Toe and maybe like 0.5 degree of Camber...

    So with dwyb at Pod just round the corner, its time to start getting the car ready.

    Popped into A-Line to get the rear camber sorted and straighten all the suspension out. Defo needed it…

    98D95124-8D0D-4017-A5EB-1C7FAFB6E9F8.

    Feels a load better on the road now, much less nervous.

    Threw some silver paint on the pink drift wheels too. Something i have been meaning to do for a while. Didnt bother masking the tyres as they're shot anyways…

    DCA9D10A-B1CB-485C-AED8-62721069EB80.

    Also decided to throw some chameleon uv tint on the headlamps. Should stop them fading, looks pretty good too from a distance lol.

    A179B368-E40A-4FAA-ADC7-8FDE572C4D22.

    Last few jobs left to sort and we’re good to go (oil/filter change, nut/bolt check and drift rubber to replace)

    Planning to take it off the road after pod and strip all the back end for new bushes and some new underseal.

    Well Santa Pod was an absolute blast.

    Spent the morning getting used to the car and shakedown on the Kidney track;

    Bit the bullet and headed out onto the big track for the first time just before lunch. So glad I did, as it was awesome. Took a few laps to link it all together, but we got it together pretty quickly;

    Came away from the day buzzing. Literally desperate to get back out there, but all in good time I guess!

    Got cracking on the interior this week. Something I have been meaning to sort for a while.
    New, better fitting double din stereo, paint scratched and worn dash panels and dye tired old roof lining black.

    Dash and roof all stripped out,

    8D67AE26-F202-4337-A890-C28E26104D6B.
    4AE3AFAF-EB3D-4B7C-A5B0-30F77E18F847.

    Stripped and sanded all the old rubber coating off,

    4E4DFC73-ACCD-41DC-9B68-29BDD6227B16.

    Primed and rattle canned the panels in wrinkle black paint. Looks a million times better…

    E2A20312-9875-4B3A-BD10-42AD5598173F.

    Also picked up one of the HKS OBD readers. It connects to my phone via Bluetooth, sending some sensor readings from the ecu.

    7BFBDBFF-D5A5-46FC-A4B4-2A4D749AE204.

    Also, the radio mirrors my iPhone screen when plugged in, so ideal for use as extra gauges,

    F17F7D4B-2D19-45B7-919B-6AB9E874D3A1.

    Next up, roof plastics to paint,

    drt.

    Roof dye time..!

    5FA71927-DBCA-4DA8-A66D-C052C1417518.

    Bit of a difference, happy with that. Couple of days to dry and chucked it back in,

    56EA3708-A32F-4CC9-9EDF-B2ABEB22D253.

    Just read the build thread start to finish. I like the decision to ditch buying the Porsche, I'd say it paid off. The car looks absolutely amazing. Money no object I'd buy a black 350. It looked good on all the different wheels you've had for it. I wouldn't have done anything differently if I was building it. It looks like you've gelled with drifting the car from day one. It's great that it seems quite reliable and you're enjoying driving it and not being too hard on yourself as many people seem to be. You're doing a good job sorting out the jobs on the car that sap motivation too like the airbag stuff at the beginning and stripping down the interior. I look forward to more updates, keep up the good work.

    Thanks dude, definitely enjoying it thus far...! Will be pulling the rear end off soon enough for a winter overhaul. Polybushes, powder coating and rustproofing :)

    Good plan! What polybushes you going for? As in manufacturer.
