Right. been offered a BM E30 320i. its not in too bad a nick, and its been offered for only £270.

    1. Should i go for it (ie, is it a good ride to start drift in)?

    2. What would i need to do to it to make it "drift legal"?:smash:

    3. what mods, coils, induction, exhaust can anyone suggest?

Im not too bothered about the externals of it at the mo, just want to get everything underneath good first.

Any advise would be sweet, 'cos as you all know, im something of a clott.
    TA MUCHLY...

not worth trying to get anymore power from it so just what bolf said, you can always chuck another engine in it later as old bmw engines can be got very cheap,

The drifting community revolves around this beleif that to be able to EVEN GO SIDEWAYS you need 300bhp, coilovers, a 2-way, and aerooo. Bullshit, just buy the 320i, weld the diff and do laps and laps of local roundabouts/tracks and laugh that you didn't waste money.

As Bolf said though, stripping it out is free and helps a lot, and a bucket seat will make the car feel much more controllable since you won't be getting launched all over the cabin when transitioning.
