Ok people im still new here so be nice :D

Here is my mk2 escort which i bought 3 years ago completely standard...my plans are to keep it looking as satndard as i can but go for more power and hopefully have some fun with the sidewaysa ction.

since buying it ive done the following:
2 inch lowering springs at the front
2 inch de cambered rear leaf springs
    adjustable rear dampers
    adjustable front dampers
    2.9 quick steering rack
    adjustable tcas
    anti dive kit
    fully polybushed throughout
    quickshift gear lever
    Plate type LSD
    k&n air filter
    electronic ignition

    BUT....

the standard 1.3 is now getting tired after 82k and its time for mroe power because it realy only kicks out in the wet at the moment and beign a ford..itll go rusty if i get it too wet :p...

so out it comes this winter to be replaced with a 1700 xflow engine running a stage 2 head, kent 234 camshaft (2000-7200rpm rev range), twin 40sand its all lightened and abalcned. im hoping to get 120bhp but looking at other cars with similar engines i should get just over that...at the moment the engien is lying in bits all over my mates garage floor waiting to be built up for next spring.

heres some random pics of the car, bits for the car and what not.

Badass mate.. Crossflow will be sweet.. better than any of that pinto rubbish:thumbs: had a all steel x-flow in my m1 and still miss the noise.. sounded like a fucked tractor with bolts in the sump until 5k, then turned into a screaming whore and went mad until 10K... Happy days:D

im not a fan of the pinto! my dad has a pinto mk1 and its fast but it just doesnt have the rev happy sound of the xflow.

only thing is i havent even got the 1700 built and im already thinking about going for more power which isnt good!...i better order my coffin for my first drive!!!

would love an all steel xflow but with the amount this one has cost me then i think a all steel one is going to be just a drem for a long time!

Im sure i know you from somewhere

Oi, whats wrong with Pinto's? I love mine. Crossflows are great but Pinto's make up for weighing 4 times more then the actual car by being dead torquey. Crossflows arent much lighter anyway!

Good to see you on here anyways. Havnt you got an old Volvo too?

    it was indeed :D

morning dave!!!..i never said the pinto wasnt a good engine! my dads mk1 has one and its fast and they are a very torquey tuneable motor but i just like the idea of getting big power and big revs from a tiny engine:wack:

    and yes i have a volvo 240:o

Thats the reason i never go to shows often, and if i do i never camp. You always get noisey inconsidorate people. Fair enough have a laugh, but theres a point.

Oh, and they always play shit music too as if to make a point of how cool they are.

Didnt you used to have a 360 or something too?

Hows the slipper too? Im not getting one now cause im going plastic but i always wanted one but was a bit nervous about getting sideways when i didnt want to, it does it anyway, so i didnt want it to get worse.

nah i never had a 340. i wanted one though but i like my old bus of a 240. least its rwd!

the lsd is great fun but i do only have a 1.3 engien so its more of a necessity!...i found it conpletely changed the way the car ahdnled. it felt so much more on the edge but held on much better cos there wasnt any of the power loss to wheel with no weight on it.

    best thing i ever bought:)
