Looks awsome. How do you find the power, im seriously considering an mx5 but from watchin at the pod they seem a little underpowered? But having never driven one...

I wouldn't say they are underpowered, even a tuned n/a engine is more than adequate as they weigh 900kg and depending on model and mods it's easy enough to get 150+bhp from them. So that's a power to weight ratio of around 170bhp/ton. Mines running just over 160bhp but is the less common 1830cc engine, most choose the 1600.

With a welded diff they're awesome drift cars, don't bother so much with a LSD just get the welded one fitted and your away! :) they're cheap to buy, plenty to modify on them, great fun and cheap to run and use too. And they rarely loose any value either...

You been watching people who cant drive then.

Stock 1.6s are fine even for 3rd in the dry when driven right, see lots on the top track at Pod these days actually and can link it all.

Indeed, you have to work them harder than say an S14, but they're still very skid capable :) Even the little 1.6s.

That car looks tidy as well mate.

Nice mx5. What is your intake setup. Just rubber 90 hose + few clamps? any supporting bracket needed?

    need extension for MAF?
