    Daze's s13 build.

    Hi all,

Thought it was time to start my own project thread, so here we are!:)

She's a 1989 pre-facelift uk car. Rebuilt CA18DET power, with a drain-pipe exhaust, mat black paint and some other funky little things!

    'Ere she be!

Got her about 2 weeks ago now and I've already started buying bits, mainly from DW  Only little bits so far - some grip tape, a flyoff button & a steering wheel boss...

But the eBay OMP steering wheel ain't turned up yet!

Also, fitted as of tonight, an Apex rear strut bar

    Near future plans are basically..

Getting rid of the current wheels - either for a swap for something else or basically going back to standard s13 wheels (cheaper rubber)

And getting all new coilovers all round - front's are Tein, but no coils on the back at the moment, so probably replacing all of it with a brand new set of HSD's hopefully soon. Then decking it completely :wack:

    So there ya go! :)

Sure did! Did you happen to hear me earlier today by any chance. Was in my s14a, bit too much gas past your parents place :wack:

Anyway, little drift slag is coming on now!!

Swapped the Rota Torque's with a set of white Rota Grids, 16x8 et10. They looks the nuts! Got some pics for ya, but excuse the rear ride height, badly need coilovers on the back... Front doesn't get much lower though, splitter scraping 40% of the time!! :wack:

    Some more updates :D

Managed to spray the roof today. Was going well until the weather turned against me, so I managed to get her in the garage quickly and finished off the job - didn't turn out as badly as I thought it might. Specially with just one rattle can from Halfords!

    After

Managed to remove all the gaffer tape someone had put on there, Im guessing to stop the sunroof from leaking. Sprayed it up, then took the rubber off the sunroof completely, cleaned all surfaced up then applied some strong sealant all round. Washed her after with no leaks

Also washed my new wheels for the first time! They look a lot nicer with no brake dust! :)

And finally some shameless interior shots with the new OMP ebay'ed steering wheel :)

    Well pleased :D

HSD coilovers all round next on my list.
    Once fitted, re-aligned, tracked, etc.
    New discs/pads on front.
I want to spray my calipers a wack colour while I'm there :euge:
Um.. and attend as many DWYB days as possible in 2010!

Looks sweet! I was thinking of rattle canning my s13 matt black. Really tempted to do it now.

Do you still have the Rota Torque's?

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Was quite easy to apply the rattle cans mat black paint to be honest. Didn't bother with any primer, just "satin black" from Halfords straight on (sanded down the roof first of course). It seems to firstly dry in patches, some bits being creamy/white, but I think this is down to how thick you apply it. The trick I found is to apply it quite thin, but doing lots of layers.

Don't have the Rota Torques anymore, did a straight swap with those for the Rota Grids which are now on the car :)

Please don't rat it out with rusty shit hanging off it and roof racks and all that bollocks, it looks wank. As it looks now it's pretty damn good.
