mate they are FWD, i used to have one when i was 18, good reliable little car but very hard to find mods for.
if you really want one, the best bet would be to drop an sr20 into it. i looked into it but then decided to man up and just buy an s13 instead!

 

You need to talk to Ian Page at Emmetts Garage in Higham Ferrers mate, he competed in the HKS Drag series in an SR'd 100nx and a Turbo'd 3.0 V6 100nx, knows his shit!

hi I owned a 1.6nx some years ago then found an original 2 litre nx brought to england by nissan which i quickly snaped up as they are RARE. only five in the country. im still the proud owner. they are reliable cars. the 2litre is amazing as it got lsd. it depend on what you want. if you want to get into drifting get a RWD. the nx is FWD. there is a two litre for sale on 100nxc.net but it need welding.

You only need one thing for a 100NX.....

 

i had a few before i started on rwd cars, easiest thing to do is look at pulsar or sunny bits. i had a 2litre one, was fairly rappid but ended up scrappin it as no one wanted to buy it!

i loved m 100nx for a everydayer and got the rooof off in even the least sun lol

 

Full of rot generally on the inside of the rear arches, sell it on would be the best mod

 

like i said u owned one as above, rot on the rear arches through all 3 layers. i rebuild mine with genuine nissan skins from Japan and Holland. the rebuild cost me £3000 + doing most the work myself.

Sold it 3 years later for £800.

however, i loved every minute of owning it. was a awesome car to have from 18/21.

 

Got to admit they are fun to drive, a bit go-kart like but you do feel kinda gay driving one

not really, the insurance on uk RS13s is rediculus for what they are. Rust bits of nissan crap really..

at least its half decent on these. and there more orginal then a saxo or fiesta.

 

If I had to get a cheap FWD hatch (at gunpoint, obviously) with a 1.6 it would be a mk1 or mk2 CRX 16i16.

If I had to get a cheap car it would be an MX5. Or another E30. Or just keep my FC.

I'm assuming here that insurance isn't a problem because the OP wants to know about modifying it, which is an insurance nightmare.
