whats the main reason for this is it a tightening corner then more so it catches them off guard or are they scared of it so lift of and lose traction? any ideas?
Looks to be oil or something down at least towards the end anyway. Its funny watching all the people in the rep mobiles, probably company cars haha
This, plus bikes later on are from oil spills. Love how that Corsa stops behind the Golf to help the bird who's also abandoned in a stupid place, real sensible
Its the main viewing point on the track. People try and be heroes...and by the looks of it on that vid, turning in far too early. I never had an issue with that corner the numerous times i've been, but I can see why some people would. The ring has a habit of biting you in the ass if you get too cocky. Nearly crashing my DC5, after being broadside at 90mph+ in the first complex near the f1 track, calmed me down a little.
Same. Other than being a bit blind, I don't really see the problem. Much simpler than numerous other corners there.
Yep as stated its purely people showing off, its not tricky as long as you get your speed right coming down the hill you just feed the power back in going up
Talking technically the s bend after that or the double apex before the incline are MUCH trickier. I bet the same amount of people go off there, just harder to video lol
The spinning of FWD cars is pretty much always due to lift off over steer having flown through the previous corner too fast in awe of having an audience. The terrifying thing about the ring for me as you see in the video is the amount of shit boxes you get on track dropping fluids. I'd never ever take a bike around it that's for sure and i doubt i'll ever press on hard at a TF day either in a car. Splash out on a organised trackday with people like Destination Nurburgring, you get less noobs, less chance of shit on the tarmac and you can have trackday insurance in case something does go wrong.
6:15 - the noise of that fiat turbo thing is unreal! The Porsche crash at the end looks like a sore one. Dayum! Would love to go to the ring sometime though.
was thinking the same thing haha! God I'd hate to be in the those driver/ car owner's position. respect the ring and it will respect you
