Fifi when the new kit goes on it will all be level at the bottom And I keep getting show pink things for sale but I think too much would be overkill tbh Plus I really like my white and neochrome wheel
In the run up to santa pod on weds I decided to put fresh oil in the car and found out that HKS make pink oil filters so had to buy on And ive spent all of my money again New ones ordered from japan 18x9.5 and 18x11 Hopefully they come in time to send the car for rear tubs and over fenders sorting out so if the fenders do need a slight pinch we can do it
So yesterday I actually got out and drifted this thing Spent most of the days in the playpens getting used to the car and the way it drives as the last car I drifted was a standard is200 so this is a little different lol Started out well and having a blast about But pens being slow and the fact I was being a tool bashing limiter meant the stock radiator couldn't keep it cool That was an embarreating push tbh but let it cool down and refilled the system with some water just to get me through the rest of the day Thought it best to get max airflow and removed the front bumper Aswell as putting the heaters on 28 degrees fans on full to help try keep temp down and it managed a few more runs in the pens End of the day I did a run on the EDC layout and got up into 3rd gear ripping it Loved it tbh Few things I've found Hand brake needs looking at so I'll be stripping that down next week And the rad clearly needs an upgrade I'll be keeping the viscous fan but going for a fatter alloy rad
Sparky s13 thanks man Colour is what sold me on this car tbh when I first saw it Saddened I really like it tbh but I've only ever drifted this and an is200 so don't have a large bank of experience to compare to other cars It's got the grunt to drift well though for sure
Yesterday this project took a turn and I think it'll be a slightly different kind of build but I'll get to that after chatting about the day Rocked up to pod for a day of fun Did a little session in a pen just to dip a toe then straight to big track for the say Found that under some moves of the car on the bumpy track it slammed the splitter into the floor I even managed to do some running with other cars Then it took a big turn for the worse Ran a little wide on the big corner past the hanger and the bump there unsettled the car making it snap right and pinned a concrete block So yea fuck Think it's repairable but it's going to take some work now The rails are tweaked across so it needs a pull at the least And then rad intercooler are obvious damage Rad hit all the pulleys on the front of the motor and has ruined all that Yet to dig further into the car to see how bad it is Currently whiplashed and I have a sore leg as I aggregated an old injury Gutted but I can sort it I think
Shit happens Build, tune race, break, repeat. Just learn from it and move on, will make you a better driver in the long run
Gutted for you mate but I'm sure it will come back better than ever. I have a slight hatred for pink cars but the quality of this build/respect and the cool parts your throwing at it makes me really like the car.
Parking in a pickup zone? You rebel.. Lmao, but for real, sick car. How much did ya put into it before the crash if you don't mind me asking?
Haven't tallied up what it's cost me tbh as I'm no were neat finished with it But I have like 3k in wheels alone I know that much lmao
Ripped the front apart so the rad and intercooler wasn't just mashed into all the pulleys and checked the front of the motor over and test fired it to check it's all good So onto chassis work
