I use to live in wethersfield. I now live 5mins down the road. Wud be good..its a large area but theres still secretive shit going on there. Along with police training and stuff. I wud love it to happen. Good luck josh... But i hink once they realise its drifting and not magasine testing or sumit you may struggle. Do it man!
its an mod base but the women on the phone said to me they have other activities going on there , she said £300 to hire the airfield out but advised someone come took a look to see what we have to work with i said to her it would be a track set out and there will be a few drift cars going sideways around the course to practice there technique and to keep it off public roads ect ect she didnt have a problem i just need someone who organises this sort of stuff to go full bore with it as im not that such person lol who ever can do it please pm me and ill send you the number for the lady
I spent 3 weeks at weathersfield doing my training course for work. The place is owned by the MOD basically. From what I remember the surface is very similar to bovingdon, so it'd be a tyre killer. Still it would be a good place to practice. The only problem I could see would be that everyone on site would have to be escorted (due to it being an MOD site) so there may be extra costs for security.
While youre at it it might be worth seeing what Waterbeach are doing now they have shut the base there, legends such as Paul Smith, Mitch and Steve Carter cut their teeth up there
This is 20 mins from me. I tried getting permission at Gosfield just down the road from there but that was a no. Somebody get this thing on! Essex needs a venue!
