So i bought this ps13 for a good deal considering what they are going for now. The car it's self has a very clean body bar a hole in the bonnet where there was a bonnet scoop fitted. This was swiftly removed when I got the car to my garage. The paint work isn't the best it has been resprayed at some point but not to a high standard should shine up okay though and there are no rust bubbles or filler on the body from what I can tell. The car came with the seats and seat belts removed and with 4 spare wheels on it. It also came with the standard turbo ,injectors and ecu as the turbo and injectors that had been on it had been removed and previously had a stand alone ecu . It basically came with everything I needed to get it running apart from the odd wee bits and bobs. The car did come with some decent bits though such as a 340lph fuel pump, gfb electronic boost controller, blitz front mount with greddy piping, cusco strut braces front and back and a few other bits.

First thing I set about doing was finding out and ordering bits that I needed such as injector cushions and braided lines for the turbos I could get them put on the car. While I was waiting on them I set about putting in the standard ecu it was easy but there was one problem there was a wire hanging loose which I presumed wasn't right. So I went online and searched for wiring diagrams and pin outs for the ecu and found a really good one on nicco. So I put that back in to the pin which was still there and put it back in which was easy enough.

All my turbo lines came so I moved on to tackling reinstalling the turbo I managed to get that on and all the lines connected with the help from my brother holding the turbo out and I connected the lines to the block whilst lying in a puddle of coolant. So that went on with only a little bit of persuasion and patience. Putting the injector cushions in and re-installing the fuel rail with the standard injectors was simple all I needed was some new fuel hose and for good measure I ran some new vacuum lines aswell.

So my next problem was due to the car having different injector the plugs that were on the car did not fit the standard injectors. I went a head and ordered new connectors and fitted them I didn't want to cut the harness for them because it was already short enough so I de-pinned each connector took the old pins of the wires and put new ones on and soldered them for peace of mind. Then put them in the plugs and that was them done this wasn't hard if your patient it's just fiddly.

I was also missing a boost pipe for the car which I decided to get a greddy one which I ordered through Jesse streeter which came in no time and Jesse was a massive help.

That's where I am up to now with the car and it's ready to start fingers crossed.

Quick update on the car didn't do to much to it this weekend just tidied things up a bit. I decided to try start the car and it went with the turn of the key and ran fine idle was a bit lumpy but think that was due to not having much fuel and the maf not getting the correct air reading because it's only plugged in and with no pipes connected to the turbo from it.

I was going to ask if this car came from down south. Met the previous owner once before, the only way I know this is by that monstrosity of a bonnet haha.

So update on the car not much has happened really I've just ordered a couple of bits. I've ordered oem ps13 seat belts from a boy of this site and I've also ordered some wheel which I think will really suit the car and the type of build I am going for I just hope they fit I know the are the right pcd but I'm not sure on the centre bore of them but if it's to big or to small I will get them sorted out. I've also polished up the front cusco strut brace and I will be getting the bits that bolt to the strut tower powder coated eventually. I went ahead and sprayed the standard oem catch can thing that is bolted to the side of the engine at the rocker cover just to tidy it up a bit and that's about it will be ordering a few things next month for it but other than that just gonna keep cleaning bits of the car up.

My wheels arrived on Friday they are 1991 oz futuras think they suit the car well. just need to get tyre on them and get it of the jack stands to see how it really looks. The wheels need a bit of a refurb so ill get the centres powder coated and I might relip them at somepoint.

Short update not really done much interesting stuff on the car just been tidying bits and pieces up recently not really worth posting about but yesterday I decided to tale of the front bumper as it needs a couple of small repairs. I also wanted to straighten up the intercooler as it was sitting really squint and it was annoying me. So got the front bumper of was easy enough but have noticed it's been rubbing on the wings and has taken a couple of spots of paint away so has a bit of surface rust so going to give the two spots a touch up aswell. The intercooler has taken a bash at some point and had knocked the brackets out of shape so I straightened them out and bent the bottom plate of the intercooler back to where it should be or as close to. Got it bolted back in and levelled it up with the car so hopefully it will sit alot straighter. Next problem is the crash bar has been cut obviously to fit the intercooler but whoever has done it hasn't exactly done the best job and it need welded so I'll weld that up and give a paint aswell.

Done a decent amount on the car recently just haven't had time to post an update. So I got all new silicone couplers for the car and got the mad all plumbed in right and car runs sweet as a bit revs up fine and holds idle good. I've also fiberglass the front bumper where there was a crack and a hole it's basically ready to get sprayed now just need a bit of filler

So I got my stuff powder Coates and got some gold hardware for it I managed to get my rocker cover on with some new oem gaskets I've also taken the turbo and that all back of to put on some heat protection on the strut tower and other wee bits around there I'm also going to order some exhaust wrap and heat sleeve for the feed pipes. I have also been tidying up some wiring for the headlights injectors and in behind the dash I've had the lips of my oz futuras polished and also got gold hardware for them will post pictures once there built I've also ordered some special bride seats from Japan through Jesse streeter but there gonna take 3 months to come so hopefully here by April cause I want the car to be totally together for
s chassis fest at driftland so gonna have to make a massive push to get things done with the limited amount of free time I have but here's a crude picture of the valve cover all done with the gold hardware and superforma rocker cover washer things

So I picked up the face to my wheels yesterday and managed to get one of the wheels built up last night l. I couldn't be happier with how they look think there going to look amazing on the car I also got brake calipers for the front of the which I believe are r32 gtr sumitomo alloy calipers which will need painted but all in all seem like there in for condition. I've managed to tuck the wiring harness that runs in the front wheel wells slightly and whilst the wings were of I got rid of any surface rust and zinc primed the bit that I cleaned up nut that there was a lot to do. I'll post a picture of the wheel I built up and I'll hopefully get the rest built soon and get tyre on them and that will finally be the outside of the car starting to take shape with the bumper just needing sprayed and the bonnet patched up.

Okay so bit of a big update is needed my seats finally came in from Japan thanks to Jesse streeter I got some bride vertex zeta 3s and they look mint. Just need to order seat rails now and get them in I also got a nardi classic as a Christmas present so that will be going in and I put in a deathtune gear knob in black and gold to mach the seats. So that's the interior just about buttoned up just need to source some seat belt buckles. Anyway to the exterior I got some dmax clear bumper lights and I also got a 326 power roof spoiler which I'll get sprayed shortly along with the front bumper. Managed to get all my wheels built up and ordered tyres but I think I'm going to go down to a 205 on the front as the 215s look a bit chunky on the 8j I got my r32 gtr calipers painted and just did them in black with the letters left bare aluminium. I also put the rear strut brace back in and the mounts for the front one. But I have had a problem so as I said previously I took all the turbo of and lines associated with it to put on some heat protection I put it all back together which all seemed fine until I built up some oil pressure and there is a massive oil leak coming from the oil feed fitting on the block and of course with it being an sr20 the threads on the blog are mangled but there appears to still be more good threads than not so I'm going to try a longer banjo bolt and hope that it works as a temporary fix as I will be pulling the engine next winter and I can the put in a helicoil or something to make it a bit less of a bodge so that is this weekend's job.
