PRICED NOW TO SELL: £6500 OVNO - Now I have three cars, and one parking space, it's a bit silly. This is a proper, reliable, sorted, fully restored, no expense spared, fast, balanced, properly built, immaculately maintained by the best specialists in the UK track monster. It's been purpose built for my addiction to the Nurburgring, but it's also very decent amount of steering lock should the mood ever take you to a spot silly angle sideways action with NO scrubbing. My brief was to build a balanced, capable and reliable weapon, and the work was entrusted entirely to Garage-D. Garage-D did all the chassis, engine, restoration, conversions and prep work, and they have an outstanding reputation for fabrication and mechanical prep. They keep all the history files on the car so I don't have to worry about them. Before reading on, you might want to take a look at the extremely extensive rebuild with millions of photos showing how much work went into the car: Nissan Silvia Nordschleife car - Track Culture Forum The body is a non-sunroof 1.8 auto shell in extremely good condition, it is 100% geometrically straight (the body was checked at Wheels in Motion). It used to be blue, but someone in Japan has given it a full respraying including the interior which makes a nice change. The colour is 'Proper Yellow' and it's awesome. The front bumper and the skirts have a few scars that have been there since I purchased it, but I've never worried about it. Makes it look more badass. The engine is a forged Redtop SR20 running a hybrid GT2862RS which means a really really fast spool up and 320bhp on tap and similar torque anywhere in the rev range. It's running quite a rich map from ProTuner to keep it safe on load with Nismo 550cc injectors, but Greg's also mapped in good economy on motorway driving speeds and loads, so the slog from the UK to Germany was possible on just over a tank from London. The engine is also running a metal cometic head gasket, new ACL race bearings and CP forged pistons. The chassis is where most of the time was spent working. The car is fitted with new CS2 coilovers, it's running modified stock arms which mean you don't ever have to worry about rust, arms snapping or bolts coming undone. The differential is a super-trick rare Tomei Trax differential which is smooth, doesn't clunk or skip or shuffle, but can transfer 0-100% of torque to any wheel, or lock to 100% across both. It's a brilliant brilliant diff. So, spec list: 1988 F Reg Nissan Silvia PS13. Engine: 2 litre Red Top SR20 Garett GT2862RS Hybrid Turbo, 314bhp at 1.2 bar, very very safe and reliable. This is THE best fitting bolt in cage money can buy. Defi guages - Oil Temp / Oil Pressure / Water Temp / Boost. The dash water temp now reads the average across the whole engine while the water temp reads the temp leaving the block so you can keep a good eye on what's going on. Full strut bracing front and rear. GRP bucket seat, really comfy. TRS harness for driver. R32 GTR passenger seat. Handbrake button & M's factory gear knob. The car has 6 months tax, and 10 months MOT. Thatcham Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser with 2 working fobs. Central Locking, Power windows, rear demister, lights, gauges and everything all working. Air-Con deleted. This car is devastatingly quick round a circuit in the right hands and it's suprised a lot of people when we've used it for filming adverts as a full speed chase car. In an ideal world, I'd like £6500, however feel free to throw very close offers at me. The car is based at Driftworks in Birmingham and can be put on the ramps and be inspected. Big boys rules - No one will be allowed to test drive it without producing insurance documentation and I won't hold the car. First to see will buy. The best way to contact me is to email me at: al ( at ) trackdayfilms ( dot ) com or my mobile 07967 114 064. I am out of the country on a shoot at the moment but return to Birmingham on the 20th of February, so you won't be able to pick it up till then, sorry! Thanks for reading! Edit: Some picture bumpings, showing how much angle the thing will hold all day long drifting, and it's cornering speed is easily one of the highest at any Mallory day I've seen so far.
love it. Wasnt sprayed in japan though. Was sprayed in my garage at home ;-) Awesome machine. Al has gone the full hog and properly sorted this car. The new owner wont be dissapointed
I read in your build thread that you estimate a 7m55s BTG time being easy, what is your actual best time in it?
It did an 8:15 with roadworks on Kesselchen and a patchy damp circuit on endurance hard compound slick tyres - so with some good weather and a clear run it's going to be fast. It will do 10 minutes just cruising round with heavy traffic on slick tyres in the greasy damp without even trying AND with the roadworks. Thanks for all the positive comments guys.
saw this when the previous owner had it at a dwyb. Thats the best PS13 body kit money can buy! It looks awesome in the flesh, can imagine it'd be super badass with silly wheel fitment too. GLWS
seen this car quite a few times now and looks amazing in real life the pics dont do it justice. one of my favorite ps13 and if i had the money and wasnt doing a project id have it. anyways good luck with the sale and shame to see it go
Thank you chaps! Some picture bumpings, showing how much angle the thing will hold all day long drifting, and it's cornering speed is easily one of the highest at any Mallory day I've seen so far.
Picture bumping! Rear interior shot (just shows cage and seat, the car now has the rear braces and the battery is relocated somewhere safe. And forwards: The car now has front carpet (club sport style) and the defi's are in the aluminium plate across the top central heater, and the control centre is above the drivers knee.
