Well it would appear I’ve been slacking on here, so time for a bit of an update.

So the whole reason and deadline of me having the car complete was to get onto a rockingham day, luckily enough I managed to bag a ticket for the last ever meihan layout.
So this meant I had to fix the few problems I had. So back onto the ramp the car went.

    9F26F0EB-4EBF-478A-A1D4-0A8A4995F309.

This is an ordeal just by itself but I refuse to raise the car. Just involves taking the entire kit off every time. Raised it up and threw the bumper on just to keep it out the way.

    BC35355E-38DA-493C-996B-B03E00EF1AF7.

Now the whole point of getting the car on the ramp is to see where the power steering fluid was going. It was just flowing out of the rack even with the engine off. So a quick trip down to garage D for another rack and a spare power steering pump, just in case I had damaged mine. I think everyone always seen a rack and pump so good job I never took a picture.

I did notice a jzx there with a cool little mod tho.

    E7303470-E65C-4744-B42B-DBEB2EE75B4B.

Bit more leverage on a stock handbrake. I like this idea as I dispise a hydro in a car that’s used on track and road. Even with my rear geo masters causing nothing but problems.

So the car was ready, new tyres loaded on borrowed wheels and thrown in a friends truck and drove the car there. Before the clean even started I had people coming up and showing serious attention over the car. With some actually nice comments.
Here’s a few shots that i have from that day.

    99AE470D-8F1A-4AE6-9DE7-35C0E2D88602.

    5E1FE09F-E6F1-449C-A600-8849A6DF7785.

    358C7EB9-F187-496C-87ED-17A10989EE9F.

    073E16E6-6CE1-410D-975F-F98F670CCB33.

    A8834831-360D-4A04-B783-61C1A9C27BBB.

    DD30885C-D24D-4F7B-9F7E-13FD60C3514D.

Massive thanks to all photographers that made the car look good.

Only real damage to the car other than the sideskirts taking a huge beating was a front lip.

    0C0DEB33-EE0F-4270-94CB-BDE2F552C94D.

I’ve already had a friend offer to fix this for me so it’s a job over Christmas.

So I after a Drift day the car was still perfect to drive. Which was really handy as 2 days later my daily died. Which we later found out was a wiring fault. So insert the skyline as a daily. Few pictures at work.

    DF919C08-350D-4D47-9A91-94BB1203E06B.

    5C19A916-D5AF-4EE6-9041-30EF05CA5388.

Definitely gets some funny looks from the colleges, especially when going over speed bumps. Yes, it makes it over speed bumps somehow.

Even got snapped driving to work by a friend who happened to be driving by.

    32451FC1-E82F-4C52-91E7-2160131F7314.

    F42B2F21-89A2-4A7E-B819-D9499A97A385.

Some reason these pictures have had some serious love on Instagram over the past week.

Finally had the daily fixed so reinsert skyline back into the workshop after a quick clean.

    DE066BEB-A9ED-416B-84A7-9F5B8BC22239.

Then, whilst bored at work and looking through the sale pages on here I saw some wheels and just had to have them as they were so close and the right price. Quick 40 min round trip and I had these.

    0FC6D48F-ABD9-4594-BA50-39EB2EE3BF60.

Basically I’m just giving myself things to do over Christmas. Full strip down, relip and get rid of the chrome. For these wheels and my own.

Long arse update I know but I hope you actually enjoy reading these builds as I do

Well it’s been a solid 11 months so guess I should update this. Now to remember what’s happened. Please bear with me. I’ll break in into sections

So after what I thought to be the last rockingham drift day I kinda put drifting on the back burner. Mainly actually socialising and helping a friend finish his 15 as we shared a unit.

    53155100-6599-486D-849E-E537D71F47A5.

Went to a “cruise” in Colchester as a few friends were bugging me to go as I hadn’t seen them in a long while.

    5BDBEEC9-9755-4C0A-BC0A-A065997C317A.

Was basically there for a 5 minute coffee break and headed home. Still an excuse to get out in the car.

As a thank you for helping him in his car my mate brought me an awesome gift. I’ll let the picture do the talking.

    94F054C4-FC38-438D-BB81-B75FAA029904.

Arrived with the sticker already fitted but luckily lined up perfect on the RB. My mates however does not on his SR.

Now for some more exciting content. I finally purchased a 440 LPH fuel pump and headed back to J’s garage for a quick retune.

Quick check over before heading up.

    900889B7-9DD0-403D-8A3D-28ABB0966A16.

Outside after a successful session while I pull the turbo and manifold of the s15. Broke the gasket whilst mapping, this got resolved by welding the damn thing on.

    2D7836F8-19AF-4847-9AA6-8ABE26152B77.

And finally the results from the dyno session.

    AF2A9A98-8B3D-49C4-8C7B-55DC712B1971.

Gained another 69 cheeky horses just from changing the pump and not maxing out a walbro 255.

There was however a casualty on the day. I basically had to remove the kit to get on the dyno, whilst refitting I forgot to fasten the sideskirt securely. Found it a few days later.

    199577A5-9E3A-46D3-9C58-F7F42B7A082A.

Well I don’t thing ill be using that again anytime soon. But I had told some friends I would go to coffee morning in a few days time. So a quick look on eBay I brought some not exactly designed for this car but had ideas to make them work.

    7215B9D0-083D-4FAC-BFF6-E84D06C99CF3.

They’re for an R33 so not ideal but didn’t look to bad once painted.

Well it had been a few years since a few of had a car on the road worth going for a drive in. So with 3 back on the toad we took a drive to London. Spent more time taking photos and videos.

    B1A62815-7F7C-4894-BE42-12F9A28E45D1.

    AF15A02A-9007-446D-B928-4205B8B3F260.

    F84BB2B1-826F-48C2-9AF7-37E0C933C34C.

But as always with us, if we go anywhere someone breaks something. The R33 destroyed his diff which in turn destroyed his gearbox. So a little wait on the side of the road while we wait for a trailer and van to turn up.

    8577A72D-D63A-414F-9F65-FE44F8A6372D.

Wasn’t to long before it was back on the road with another gearbox and diff placed in and we headed off to auto finesse coffee morning. Jesus another coffee morning. Where’s the action at.

    9B87EF0C-39F7-4F56-9108-5C6D7EA18F79.

    85E4A55C-7E5C-4B89-BB5E-F5D737522311.

Followed by lunch at the pub with the lads.

    EC3943B2-9206-49C9-B0D3-DA432135D893.

Well enough of coffee mornings. It was another mates birthday and he had planned on going Norfolk for it. Now I know 500bhp is a bit much for Norfolk but as it was a mates birthday I couldn’t turn it down.

    1BF61B40-2B43-4EE0-AC3B-E5ED4D8494DB.

    2C709409-4209-4907-BD84-B561A812DADA.

It started off wet which as I was running semi slicks anyway wasn’t actually to bad. Eventually dried up and allowed for smoke.

    B98F3FD8-B9FA-4C6E-B9B3-0C92B4832E43.

I also hate how dirty the car gets from a wet day at Norfolk.

    D481D91E-F7C9-481D-9FDE-48349D703FE9.

But I literally had no time to waste. This picture was taken on a Sunday and I was off on operations on the Monday so I had to clean it. Park it back in the workshop and head back off to work.

    C0FBC602-20B7-4DF8-AFEB-917395FFABF6.

Oh if you wasn’t aware I’m currently a serving soldier in the British army.

We will also not listen to Callum and his claim of bad fitment I had at any point at Norfolk. It was on point all day

So whilst away with work and bored one evening I saw that low origin we’re attending an event in Poland called next level (none of them made it in the end) and I thought I would sent in a request to go. Cars had to look cool enough for them I guess. A few days had passed and not heard anything, but then received a message on Instagram from fiji (one of the people running the event) saying The car was good enough to have a space. Well this meant I had better start planning how the hell I was getting there. First time travelling abroad without having someone else doing all the work.
Quite a bit of money later I had the train booked, a house booked, a trailer I could use, tyres were waiting in the unit to be use, I had all the spares I would need but required a van. Long story short I got one 1 day before I was meant to leave from a very understanding company round the corner from me. Luckily he had members of the family in the army and sorted me out.

    82DFFE21-B0BA-48B1-BEF7-2FE409532CFC.

Awaiting to be able to get on the train and a long arse drive to Poland.

Now I’m a bad passenger and quite open about this so we left my unit at 10am on a Thursday and arrived at the air BnB Friday 1pm with only stops for fuel and food.
Plus being pulled over by polish police

    6AF2DFFF-3AE3-4604-A8EC-6B9251BEA85F.

I travelled on a road you needed a toll box for if over 3.5T which I obviously didn’t know. No grace for foreigners though so received a 1500 zloty fine (£330ish)

So once at the house had a quick nap as we couldn’t drop cars off until 6pm. Once at the track we finally met up with the only other English person who made it and unloaded.

    47321884-2309-46AD-9252-0150B1AAE75D.

Now I’m sure most know who he is but if you don’t just search for James tooley.

After about an hour of waiting and not actually knowing what was going on we just drove in. Luckily the car got spotted and we got told where we could set up. Leant half my gazebo as well he was the only other British guy I knew there driving.

    40790D09-D636-4C5D-AA04-9421B3DC72A5.

Now I was completely shocking at taking my own pictures throughout the event. So
I’ll summarise with what issues I had.

    0996D560-5016-41AB-A53F-F718CA6A8230.

Popped the hot side intercooler pipe off twice.
    Popped a power steering line.

    73C477D5-D812-4445-83AD-E29683524CFF.

Snapped driver’s side drive shaft. (Odd pressures)

    A08EA0F4-4D9D-4165-A132-956337D5E2F1.

Bent the other front wheel. Can kinda see the bend in this picture.

In between sessions I took time to have a walk around the pits and have a look at some of the other cars. Kinda rude not to go say hello to everyone who’s there to have fun.
Now I’m not a bmw man at all but this build I had to take a photo of. Bonus points if you know the engine in it.

    3FF18B6C-5AF9-4DAA-AEDC-54849D9108E0.

Also on the Sunday there was an awards ceremony around 3pm for lots of catagories. Best team, best car, best driver to name a few.

Now I wasn’t expecting anything from this event. I just wanted to go have fun in another country with like minded people. But some how I managed to pick up “best drift car” well 1 of 3. I was in shock and completely baffled. Anyway, I got some pretty cool things to look at and remind me of the event.

    C615320C-2806-4EED-880B-F922263698B1.

    D4B83914-1A0B-4FFE-BE67-D9CBC64D1F8A.

After this was a few more hours of drifting which I would say was the best fun I had all weekend. Chasing a stock bodied r32 lap afternoon lap.

    976C9B8F-6B81-4BB3-A452-DA364BC13619.

Im sure hand out the window while drifting is the international side for “this is awesome”

The end of the day soon came and we had to pack everything away and load the car back up ready to head back to the house for one last nights sleep before the king drive back.

    5E35C8E2-D511-4D35-8190-4F8367190D20.

I managed another drift day without completely destroying my aero so it was a mega weekend for sure.

The next post I’ll throw up some of the many photos I’ve been sent from all over the world.
It was amazing how many people had come just to see the event and photographers just to take photos of it.

Cheers man!! It seemed people out there enjoyed seeing it to!!

Well mine should be repainted early next year and looking fresh. Pull your leg out.

Track was epic. Had some tight and technical bits followed by flowing bends where you could get close. I’m going back next year for sure.
