I bought this as course of fixing a misfire on my RB25DET but it wasn't the problem so is no longer needed.

I try not to buy 2nd hand stuff just to stop the headaches that come with them but the CAS i have is working so no point changing it lol

that said the cause of my misfire was a brand new coil pack that had failed

Thats very unluckly, but just goes to show just because its new in the box doesn't mean it can be ruled out of a problem..

So you've got it fixed now?

The part number is 237310 8u00, Will fit on the RB26 as long as it has the same spline pictured, Some have a slightly different spline as used in the R33 NEO and R34 engines

yea no worries dude. Its a common thing to fail on all RB engines hence why i bought it but its not needed so the money can pay for a drift day or two... Pull it out and have a look then let me know dude

Still finding out whether anything else could be causing my high rpm issue though.

There are 5 or 6 different numbers that are all interchangeable.. There is also a Mitsubishi CAS that fits... Whats the car doing?

Mark where yours sits then take it off and check inside for an wear then spin the spline with your fingers and see if you can feel any resistance.. (it should spin freely and smoothly)
