Bored on a Bank Holiday Afternoon so I decided to do up a build thread of my S14 Zenki.
This car started it's track life as a time attack car. Shell is mint and came with some nice extras
Thanks to Stevo from Driftbits for selling me such a spotless shell!

    Fab Work

After looking at some other s14 builds in the Irish Drift Championship (IDC) we decided to get stuck into some Fabrication work. Luckily the car already had a ROCO Performance Cage in it. I got some CDS tubing from Group4 for the extra bars! This includes: tubing the front, rear, extra bars for the cage, gusset plates, cutting out and resealing the arches for extra clearance, seam welding the shell, jacking bar for the rear and taking away some of the ugly factory panels!
Thanks to Aidan and Martin for help seam welding the shell and Shane for the loan of the MIG Plant!

    Paint

After the fab work was done, I couldn't wait to paint her so we could start putting parts back on!
Decided to go with silver inside with purple cage and bars!

So whats gonna power this puppy???

I was on the lookout for a built SR or RB for ages and no joy! Luckily I came across a fully driving R33 for sale and snapped at it! Had a few extras aswel, Splitfire Coils, 6puk clutch and a few more bits! I had taken all of the adjustable arms of of my s14 kouki before i sold her so I had almost all of the parts just to bolt them up! :D

    Stripping the Skyline & S14

I took everything I needed from the S14 and skyline for my new zenki build! I put standard arms on the S14 kouki and she's gone to live a new life in Galway. The skyline shell is on it's way to Cork! And i was left with a floor full of parts :dw:

    Back on the rebuild

Time to clean up the tank, rear subframe lines and get building again
The engine was polished up too! No need of it being polished but doesn't it look pretty

    Driftworks Goodies

Some very important DW Goodies! :dw:
Car has DW: Braided brake lines, CS2 Coilovers, DW Hubs, offset rack spacers, r32 alloy rad and probably more can't think of! :smash:

    Engine test fit

Engine was test fitted to get a location for the rad and FMIC. I used the r33 front subframe, solid engine mounts and made custom gearbox mount.

What I did find was that the engine was way too close to the rad to run the viscous fan so i am now running twin mishimoto fans. Time will tell if they will be sufficient

    Off for Wiring & Setup!

The car has gone for wiring now at CAC motorsport in Cork. They will wire up the ignition, electric fans, fuel pump, lights, wipers, cut-off switches etc. They are also looking over the tracking and general setup of the car! I only got a few sneaky pics but the quality of work is second to none with the Galvins! Just look at the back of the switchpanel!

    :worthy:

They recommended I fitted D-Mac Track Rod Ends as the Hardrace one will bite or bind causing this or other parts to snap!!

    Wired and Tracked

So I got the car back from wiring and what can I say only I am over the moon! Big thanks to Anthony Galvin and the Guys at CAC Motorsport for a wicked job. Everything was done so neatly and done right for very reasonable money. I think the guys could see the amount of effort into the build and complimented it with a proper wiring job!
So here is what the guys done:
    Wiring
-Custom Lower Loom (altinator , starter etc)
-Custom Interior loom with the bare essentials (Lights, Fuel pump, Relocated Battery)
-Custom Switch Panel with LED Switches for Fuel Pump 1, Fuel Pump 2, Fan 1, Fan 2, Lights, Wipers and Ignition
    -Cut-off Switch,
    -Charging light
    -Push start button
-Fuse box for the above items located on the dash

    Setup
-Dmac Track Rod Ends and associated tie rods
-Custom Anti Roll Bar Drop Links and Bracket
-Full four wheel alignment with the extra lock setup
    -Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator

Few pics of the wiring job. I will put up some pictures during the week of suspension setup

    Sooo This just happened!

So I was just messaging around looking for any nice parts on the market and came across a Apexi Power FC and Hand Commander for the RB25det!
Can't wait to get the car back to John at West Coast Performance (WCP) for setup and a run on the Dyno! Anything Jap and John is your man. The results speak for themselves mapping most of the top cars in Ireland and Europe such as James Deanes & Nigel Colfers Drift Allstar weapons.

    WCP Map

So... All ready for mapping. Locked and loaded and ready to go :D

While on the Dyno the Fuel Pump had to be changed. A Deatschwerks DW300 in tank pump was installed and a Tomei Fuel Pressure Regulator aswel. Cheers for Tom & Charlie doing it for me when I was at work!

All was good otherwise. Made 270bhp I think which can be expected. Standard Turbo, Injectors, Internals, Boost etc!

    Hate Cars :0

Brought car home from being mapped and all was going good. Decided to take the car for a few spins to see how she was going and then the water pump starts to leak! So Stripped the front of the car to inspect some more. Lined up the timing to find the exhaust cam was advanced one tooth. I have seen previous threads where people deliberately advanced the exhaust like this for more mid-range power. Since the timing was done in japan last I dunno was this done on purpose or by some cowboy. Anyways I went and ordered Genuine Nissan Timing Belt, Tensioners and Water Pump!

    Paint

So while I was waiting for the engine parts to arrive I decided to paint the car! I decided to go purple like my old s14 kouki but with a bit more sparkle! Big thanks to Dean and Josh for their help with the paint.
