    recent update!
along with the normal car building progress of putting things together I made a stencil for the intercooler for a little extra touch :)

It may not seem much, but I found one of the essential things to have even in a fully stripped out race car, is the heater system.
De-misting your windows with a sponge on a stick gets really old really quick...
So after 10 hours at the garage, given most of them were spent swearing at things that didn't want to fit... It didn't work... The last hour spent looking through wiring diagrams, cutting and soldering wires and we finally have life!
    Goodbye spongey stick!
    Hello blowy screen wizard!

also installed a PLX wideband so I can get my base map correct when I come to start the car hopefully in the next week or two

How much did you pay for the 6boost mani mate?

    They're pricey!

They have them on eBay, I just modified it so it didn't need a silicone hose to fit it.

Turns out the hy35 turbo has a strange size v band flange. A normal off the shelf one I bought was blowing like mad and wouldn't seal up.

I had to make my own v band on the lathe and weld it on instead of the original, now it works brilliantly!
Just a little info if anyone buys a turbo like this :)
