No, they actually cost more than that but I'm offering somebody a considerable saving. Reliable and 1000HP+ is a costly affair
Maybe better off posting it on a drag forum.....................the cars that is.........not men in dresses!!!!!!!
Wow, smart engine, but the price! I could buy 22 cars for that money and have waaaay over 1000hp. haha. Good luck with the sale!
Your metro is to weak for this engine its made of man stuff you know I cant afford it but what would it take to put in the likes of a s13??? Also as i am thick whats a rb30 from me sorry. Oh and free bump
Did you not get the metro pisstake? "Err actually a metro wouldn't be a great base for this". To stick it in your s13 you'd need to make engine mounts, get a massively strong gearbox and suitable prop, big dirty fuel system, monster intercooler, and no doubt a nice big oil cooler and big radiator.
rb30's come out of old nissan patrols, holden commodores and some r30/31 skylines didnt think they were this expensive, thought a rebuilt RIPS block was around the 3-4k mark landed
How to fit an rb30 in to an s13 here http://www.driftworks.com/forum/dri...8508-6666-s13-sil80-rb30-2009-car-i-hope.html RB30 sits on rb25 engine mounts and cross memeber, bolts straight in to s13, gearbox mounts need to be moved a couple of inches using stock rb25 gearbox cross member. Prop needs to be remade to the correct length (one peice is better) Fairly straight forward realy, basically the same as puting in rb25/26 which has been done many times. Rips always use the stock crank as they are bullet proof.
A standard RIPS block is around £5K these days with the current exchange rate. This isnt standard, its got CNC main caps, billet block brace etc etc. The spec of this short motor is £10K on its own before you add the head, cams, valves, buckets, springs, retainers, special port work, head studs, cam covers, HKS T51R SPL turbo kit, billet inlet manifold, multiplate clutch etc etc lol
