well with the success of the rx7 in the 2009 championship of edc and jdm allstars i have decided to stick to what i know but do a full fresh build and make the car look the part as well a do the business on the track. i bought a white fd that was breaking a little while ago on here as the shell was extremely tidy and as i wanted to build a white car for next season it was an added bonus. so far the car has had all the interior removed, a full weld in roll cage done by nickson motorsport which looks fantastic whilst stiffening the chasis and preventing a premature death.. the cage is a really well made and quality product and i would highly reccomend anyone to contact nick on 07500665681 or 01428654263. here are a few pics to show the start of the build although the english weather has been halting the progress lots more pieces to the puzzle should be arriving this week so there should be another update by saturday
the old car is having all the running gear transfered to this shell including suspension etc then carl haywad will be using it for some form of motorsport i guess. stav - we will be making a few tweaks to the setup we already have by fitting an apexi avcr boost controler and some other little bits that carl will be doing at some stage or another, should see a healthy 500-550 also gonna be changing the final drive ratio and making the car much lighter as the old shell weighed 1250kg
Awesome mate!! glad you stuck with the FD, loved watching you compete this year was getting worried when I heard rumours of an RX8 Good luck and look forward to watching the build thread

well with a break in the weather we managed to get the interior in paint and i must say i'm pretty pleased with the way its turned out, i'd like to thank marc hadfield and my dad for once again pulling out all the stops to help get the car's interior in paint. here are a few more pics and more to come over the next week
