    Hi

Have this diff in my 180sx Type X

Anyone knows what the Japanese symbol and 13 mean?

Only imported the car and haven't got driving it yet to find out!

If it's a viscous diff I will cry (seen a sticker of viscous on side of casing but hoping it has been swapped out if it has this writing on it!)

Probably won't know til I open it up or try to hoop it!

Don't know if I misunderstood you, but CA18s weren't cheap spec in Japan. They were the only engines you could get on S13s until '91 when they switched to SR20s. CA18s are why 180SXs got the name.
