I thought I should make a progress thread since I've done a little bit to this car now, and really enjoying it along the way.

How it started out.... Went over to Nottingham to pick it up.

Got it home and gave it a wash.

Ordered some coilovers and a few other bits.

All fitted with some 18s on the back.

Did a few more little bits to the car but I can't remember it all...
removed all the tat like massive rev gauge and boost gauge that were stuck to the dash. Fitted a greddy spec 2 boost controller and then went to a rolling road to see what it made.

Put out 279bhp and 290lb per ft @15psi.

Then did a little more to the car. De-wipered... Lol

Bought a full set of 17 x 9 Advan RG's and fitted a pair to the rear.

I then set about making the handling something like...
Bought a full set of adjustable arms and some geomaster2 front tension rods to top them off. Also bought the full geomasters package rusulting in awesome lock and handling....

Lengthened the bottom LCA's to get some camber by 25mm.
I boxed them in on the bottom as well to add strength.

Then started to put it all together...

All finished... Also fitted my touring skirts.

Went to test it all out at Oulton for a day with a few mates...

All went well on that Saturday, but the day after was the final day of the Buxton weekender.
So I thought it would be rude not to go to a first proper drift event!
Ali from ej9 took some photos of my car luckily...

Last on the cards was the Anglesey drift which I was really hoping would be a dry day as I was yet to do one!
the forecast was looking good, so me and a few mates set off on the Saturday afternoon...

Got settled in for the night in a tent and then nearly wet myself with excitement the next morning.
Set off on the small track after briefing and tried getting to grips with it.

Then disaster stuck as I hit the uphill into the first turn as I lost all power and engine cut out. Luckily I didn't reach the top of the hill, so I rolled the car all the way back down the hill and into the pits without a recovery truck in sight!

Turned out to be a boost hose next to the exhaust manifold had blown in two! So after wandering round the pits in morning and then a trip into Bangor leading till dinner with still no luck. I asked around the pits again at lunch as there were more people about. I think it was Alex Law who final had something I could rig up and managed to sleeve over the old one with another piece! Win!

Back out on track, this time with the bonnet off to aid cooling...

Had an awesome day all in all and enjoyed every bit! Cheers Driftone.

That brings me up to today where the car is sat off the road for winter with the intention of removing the engine. Need to tub the arches and give the bay a spray and welding in a few places to sort the rot out.

Hope you enjoyed the read! I'll try and keep this up to date from now on :)

Will you be going to Anglesey again in February or is it still going to be off the road?

As much as I'd love to I doubt I will be. Car needs all the cooling sorting along with the tubbing etc...

Defiantly be back at Anglesey without a doubt though....

    Cheers boys!

Erm tyres are 215/40/17 on Advan RG's 17x9 et30-40 something with 30mm spacers all round. Also rolled the arches to fcuk with an acro.

I owned this car back in 2005, and back then it was tidy. It never missed a beat and I sold it to buy an R32 GTR, I should have just kept it really.

Any info would be great. If I got it back, I would get it back to its former glory and post up the progress on here.

    Cheers!
