    Green mittos track
    Red, current

    obviously roughly!

Ha ha, nice account maaaan no one will know who you are! Where are your posts, you dont drift :wack:

But yeah, a few 'regulars' have discussed laying down a different track, making it bigger too... Id much rather see teeside done to pod capacity than mehein which seems to resemble an average drift taxi track imo

But, pod have/had their reasons and need to appeal to all skills etc, which the current one does, which is quite flowing and fast really tbh. Just a bit samey perhaps to the few that have mastered it :)

My feedback on mitto's proposal - awesome, love that layout. BUT i do understand why it may worry/discourage some drivers.

My feedback on Pod - there's 2 reasons why i have no interest in going again (been 3 or 4 times)....

    - Car safety: at no point did i feel comfortable on the main track due to the fear of being crashed into. spun a number of times to find stealth twinners behind me! And stories of actual crashes of that sort on here a number of times don't help to boost my confidence.

    - layout: i actually like the current layout - it's got upshifts and downshifts, nice transitions and grip changes. HOWEVER - it's too easy! I don't want to sound cocky saying that though. What i mean is - get your line wrong and it doesn't matter, there's just so much room to correct that you can link the course anyway, the challenge isn't there for me. Sure some people say pick your own harder lines etc, but that doesn't do it for me.
IMO tighten the course in the afternoon to make it like an actual racetrack, make it harder, tougher to do it well. OR, just paint a tighter line on the ground, so those who want the tougher challenge can use that.

hope that helps, want it to be constructive, not overly critical. i'd gladly go back if the above were improved :)

I have been to pod twice and if im honest wont be going there again if things dont change.

The play pens down the bottom were normally filled with chavy beemers doing burnouts ( no marshals to be seen ) and on there for as long as the felt was right. Have one donut pen and one figure of 8 pen. Then you could have 2 kidneys and the big track.

The top track is unorganised, the cones are darted all over the place and seems that everytime you go round the track changes bcos some plank as obliterated the cone system everywhere.

In my opinon pod could be a great place for uk drifting to progress but it needs to move with the times. We need walls, tight challenging corners and twinning, and pod has the area and facilities to do this, so im all up for change and just pushing the boundries:thumbs::thumbs:

P.s those red and white plastic things would be spot on:thumbs:

    Layout rocks.

I dont get all the people moaning about the size issue, its not set out as a 100% to scale finished drawing, just getting the ball rolling :dw:

As has been said Pod vs Norfolk....Pod is half as much again but doesnt seem to offer a whole lot more at the moment.

Another thing nobody has really picked up on, photos of cars running the wall etc are going to look much more exciting to the uninitiated than "pissing around in a car park with cones"

As for beginners being put off...you dont have to try and run the wall if you dont want to..:S

The reason there are only a handful of drivers who will be confident pushing the proposed track is because only a handful of drivers have seat time on a similar track ;)

What do you mean by that?

Surely even mitto must admit Mallory is better than Meihan?

If its close twinning then fair enough, but still, pod can offer that, you just need the skill/car/partner, its not the tracks fault! Or go to Norfolk?

If you think youve mastered pod then so be it, but Ive said before in other threads, the bumps, surface variations, layout etc will always teach you.

Not many can go round as it is perfect tbh and if you can, try new things!

In the bottom right aren't they? Looking at the pic I was talking about the building in the top middle.

Great paintshop skillz dude!! I found the overlay we did etc...I ain't no internet wiz so not gonna try and put it up lol.....It maybe samey samey but how many regulars still struggle with it...I do believe mitto took Mr nicks red ceffy out on it, sucked balls big time but must be cos the track is too lame for his skillz yo!! :D

Totally agree with both points its got such a big area that it doesnt challenge, i do feel the few cones are a prob i even think tyres around the outside would tighten the course maybe:nod:

Something like Teesside, but with walls would be awesome.
I loved teesside when I done it few weeks ago.

    I mean this!

[ame=http://vimeo.com/17122028]Naoki Nakamura @ Meihan Sports Land on Vimeo[/ame]

I do admit that Mallory is badass for high speed stuff and I can't wait to do it but it dosen't offer what is going on in that vid.

The building to the left is the big fuck off hanger thing. The toilet block is at the top of the pic. The cafe isnt in the pic.

    My suggestion...

Itd be nice if the little kidney track could be moved further down the approach road leaving that area available to extend the main track further off the top of the pic.

No the buildings on the left are the new units at the end of the current edc track, the buildings in the middle of GMT's drawing are the toilet block, the cafe isn't in the picture it's further to the right.

No, thats the bogs n stuff, the cafe isnt even on there

Youre doing it wrong then ;) Staying consistent on the fastest/best line you can find, thats the challenge, not just linking it :)

Ahhhh yes! I was being retarded! Well I get the feeling Mitto was planning on it being the full length as the track is now.
