has anyone got there screamer pipe sticking out the wing on there car? if so whats it like as i need to relocate mine as its close to the bulk head and is starting to burn the paint off. i want to put it out the wing but don't know how it will sound or if it is best to have it down to the floor
looks good, sounds good, means drilling holes in your inner wings for the water to get into and the the rust a little sooner, if your windows are open at the time fumes come in the car plus could get you more attention than you want realy i.e police, i dont know the actual legality of it but im sure they dont like it. put it straight to the floor would be my advice, be much easier and not on view to the plod :-)
I am planning to run mine along the down pipe and silence it . I guess you will break the drive by noise limit on most tracks if you put it out the wing .
If you're specifically using it for drifting, I personally would be trying to restrict the noise as it may put it over the 105db regs. Point it at the floor, it'll still sound good
Ive heard mixed reviews on screamer pipes do they actually increase performance and are they bad in any way for the engine?
Only way they are a bad thing engine/performance wise is if you use one of them wanky fake ebay screamer pipe elbows you can buy for internal wastegate turbos, and even then they won't do anything bad barring leak and sound shite. And yeah, if you exhaust isnt big enough a screamer will help power over routing it back in to the exhaust.
I had my rb26 dump out the wing. Sounds awesome and if its done right it looks good. My sig shows it. Police hate them though. ganders rb26 s13 screamer pipe sound - YouTube
