Hi everyone thought I would do a build thread for this one
So I got a ps shell pretty cheap so I decided to take my sil80 and re shell it into ps as I have always wanted one
    B52B5546-20C2-4995-AE81-81820896D317.

Right so this is how I got the ps
    B2BD4DBF-6818-440B-B16F-774E692E6182.
It was a completely stripped shell so I began to strip the sil80 taking the engine box and the subframes and coilovers so I could get this shell rolling so I could get it off to hdf motorsport to have a tubed front end on as the person before me done a lush up of a job on it
    FF87E47F-6153-42DA-87C5-92F46296919E.
So got it rolling then dropped it off at hdf motorsport
    65B366F6-84AE-49B3-AEB2-67037BD8199C.

    A6376FAB-0544-4AE2-BC40-73B1C56E28E9.

Hdf motorsport dome an awesome job on my front end next up had to paint it
    6FC51144-1E3A-4122-BEA5-B25E7408F7CF.

Thanks to dave bastin for letting me use his booth, materials and showing me what to do I managed to paint it myself and it actually came out really nice

Tomorrow I’m going to do some more bits to it so will hopefully have some more to share with you all
Thanks for reading all questions welcomed

Didn’t manage to get anything done on the car today so I done a bit of practice on my Tig Welder
I’m thinking of running stainless steel boost pipes has anyone done this and suffered with heat?

Here is a practice piece of stainless

You should be fine as long as you have connectors to stop the transmission of vibration and engine movement to the intercooler you should be fine, silicone connectors etc.

Almost a shame to spray that work, would of been sick to just clean coat it haha

Don’t some more on this over the last week I managed to get the s15 dash in fit quite well and wasn’t to hard because I’m not using the standard heater system
    E0A11BB6-E827-4993-83B6-A69A397BAE9B.
    This is the heater system
    67BD0E79-1E00-4ACD-BF1F-3354D919A428.

Also to get the brake lines that I got from racing lines in just waiting on my hydro to get it completely finished
Fuel lines and swirl pot are also in and p clipped up

    3CA45E76-A32D-4EF0-A4F6-54E4FAE44171.

Fuel tank is also in for good now I gave that a coat of hammerite for protection

Hopefully I will have the engine and box back in over the next few days

    What is that heater system?
How do you vary heat & speed?
    Looks really neat.

Fuel lines are fine as long as they are teflon lined, safer in there than underneith

    Looks a tidy build!!?!?

So I have been flat out and haven’t had time to post on here so here is an update
The car is 99% finished only tidying up of wiring to do
I will do loads of photos at he end of this post

Since last time I got the engine and box in made all new boost pipes got everything ready to run so I could send the car to nispro performance for a cartek panel and dash2pro dash
I tig welded the hydro mount in for my obd handbrake got it all plumped up and was working spot on
In January the car went to nispro to have the wiring done
I then managed to get a driftcup season ticket so the car needed to be ready for the (March 11th)
Car was a little longer than expected at nispro however Walton went above and beyond to get the car ready
I got the car with a week and a half before driftcup with still a big list of stuff to get done
    Tub the rear arches
    Fit the roll cage
    Fit seats and harness
    Get a kit
    All the body work
    Paint the car
And a lot of small jobs
So I got it all ready for the Monday to go to dave Bastin for paint he had already painted my cage and I had got that in
The car went to dave and he had his work cut out for him the dent took longer the he expected so the Wednesday before driftcup we managed to get it in primer which left us 2 days to finish before driftcup but dave being the fucking man and getting not much sleep we got it done and ready to leave Saturday morning for rockingham

    Saturday driftcup practice
We had a vacuum hose pop off the actuator 2nd lap that had me worried for a minute or two before I found it but popped it back on and the car was spot on all day

    Sunday driftcup
Started the day off in practice really well got the line and was loving the car
Qualifiing came and I put in a good but slightly careful lap to put a score on the bored
Second lap I went for it a bit more and managed to get 5th so happy with that

So battles came and it not going to bore you but I battles my way up and got 3rd place overall after a very close battle and omt for 3rd

Super happy with the result and even more happy the car was spot on all weekend

The only thing I’m not happy with is the front bumper so I will be changing the kit before round 2
