hi guys thought I'd put together a build thread for my silvia. although I imported it from japan in pretty much it's current state I'm now in the process of stripping it down and giving it my own touch and sort all of the hidden nasties out and whilst the engines out give it a rebuild with new every thing but crank rods n pistons,

Here's a pic of it on the dock yard in japan

He's a pic from when it landed in the uk

I bought some new wheels a spoiler and gave her a good polish

Then I took out the interior to see what was hiding and found this

Iv since the welded it up and the foot plate further up from the photo, I put it all back together and did what I bought the car for

That was pretty much all I did from febuary when it landed untill November last year when it went into storage.

Iv had some work commitments over Christmas but finally iv been able to crack on with the rebuild after spending 4 hours cleaning my lock up to have a nice clean work area

I started to strip all the kit off the car

And finally began to strip the engine bay in prep for the engine coming out

Sorry for the crap photos there from my phone well that's my progress so far il keep updating best I can, this is the first time iv stripped down a s-body so I'm learning along the way

stavos as a matter of fact iv still got the old rims and il be looking at selling them soon, as far as I'm aware there 3 piece split rims ABC enkie 10j rear and 9j front couldn't tell you the offset but here's a pic of them with the rears on 25mm spacers on the silvia's standard arch

Iv seen a couple sets on eBay from Japanese importer and there going for £1000 but that's in good condition

Mine are in fair condition and could do with a re-furb they have brand new Nanking tyres on the front and still very good tread on the rears which have a lot of stretch on them to stop the rubbing lol

Here's some pics I have on my phone the wheels havnt been cleaned in the pics though

here's one of the lip where the dicks at the doc yard tried driving the car with flat tyres

But they do come up shiny when cleaned, sorry I havnt got a better pic of them cleaned then this one

Lol fair anuth those who can't preach ha ha,

Problem most lads are facing is insurance cost when it comes to rwd and that and the police get exited when they see it, Cornwall don't exactly have many places todo it either not with all the country lanes lol

I knew when I imported it that it had an uprated clutch in there just didn't know which one, I'm over the moon with that and yeah it's an awesome clutch no slip what so ever when kicking it :-)

Am I right in thing the kit comes with the flywheel aswell?
