Grip Royal lol. Car's looking brilliant though, good turnaround! :smokin:

Didn't realise you could just cut up 2 door R32 skirts and get them to fit ok, but I guess it's pretty obvious when you think about it.

Fairly sure its not a Grip Royal, although a nice wheel nonetheless!

I don't know exactly what wheel it is, bold has the same one from Japan though, and it's super light and super sturdy..

And gtr bonnets ain't that special are they? :p

Oh, yeah skirts will get painted eventually, CAS/timing first, followed by seat time.. Then paint the bits :)

So, this afternoon I put the expansion bottle back on after Mitch suggested doing so :) which meant the battery was shifted over a tad...meaning the throttle could get stuck open... Didn't fancy that happening so I relocated the battery to the boot :)

Also checked timing and it all lines up so decided to turn the CAS back to near the middle (stock) and see what happens.. So far it boosts better which is pretty wicked! But it still takes a bit of time to shut off when key is turned off? Any ideas? Is that a normal RB trait?

well, went to see mitch again yesterday after work, he checked the timing and CAS over and it appears to be a tooth (or 5 degrees) out, meaning someone had timed it up to the SR20 timing (-5,0,5,10 etc) instead of the CA18/RB20 timing (0,5,10,15 etc)

so, this afternoons job was to sort that out.. im determined to get this RB20 running reliably before matsuri!!

    before:

    inlet cam
    [IMG]
    exhaust cam
    [IMG]

    now! :)

    inlet
    [IMG]

    exhaust
    [IMG]

so yeah, now alls thats left is getting CAS properly timed. then the boost controller, then gauges, then a water temp sender and gauge cus mine isnt working for some reason, then a 'stage 2' chip, then... skids next weekend >_< lol

little bit more progress. went to essex last night to collect some skid wheels and tyres.. dont get me wrong they aint nothing amazing but they were an eBay bargain, anyways.. here they are:

yeah. realised this morning they were advertised wrong! theyre 5x100 fitment!!! so now ive wasted a night and money on buying some totally useless wheels!!! really annoyed >_< damnit! gonna have to borrow DJ's wheels for the weekend coming.

    back to the car..

fitted the Gizzmo earlier, not had chance to test it out yet though cus the weathers toss, need it to be dry so i can. plan on running 12.5psi thru the stock engine and turbo, read up that 14psi is about the limit of the turbo, and i dont fancy killing it straight off without having a spare blower to fit back on to replace it, so 12.5 should suffice for the time being.

this is where i t'd the vacuum into..

and then T'd that vacuum onto a boost gauge.. figured its getting the same reading either way so shouldnt matter.

then had a visit from my sister and neice, so cus i dont see my neice often i let her have a go in the drift car

    updates!!!!! been a while :)

so, firstly a bit of maintanence, changed the oil and filter, bought spare coil packs, bought new cam belt covers (upper and lower), bought new CAS bracket cus two of the threads in the current one were stripped :S.. just gotta find the time to fit them,

Went to DriftMatsuri, it was amazing, borrowed DJinUK's front wheels with Maxxis MAZ-1 tyres, that were totally amazing, need to get a pair of those tyres, grip was unreal

car drifted brilliantly, linked the big track a couple times from the second corner to the end, couldnt link first corner to second for some reason though, tried but failed lol.. couldnt do the hairpin at all, kept shitting it when entering cus i didnt wanna hit the grass..

and linked the technical track all day long but spun off a couple times, one time resulting in this..

    so carried on skidding.

then decided to smash the backend out as much as i can last night, after nearly a week of driving it like it was :p come out alright, quarters pretty mangled and ill probably get it properly sorted in the future but with the amount of drift days i have booked already i may as well just keep it functional.

and finally bought some skid wheels
