Skyline R33 rusty spots

    IMG_4417.JPG So i found an R33 shell for my first build, but it has some rust spots that got me worried, can anyone tell me what i should do?

    First up, wrong section. Post questions like this in the Technical area and you will get a better response. This area is for help using the forum (passwords etc)

    But to answer your question, grab a drill and a wire wheel attachment and start attacking anywhere you see rust. If it has rusted all the way through, drill out the spot welds on the panel that has rusted, check the panel underneath (seal that with rust proofing if possible) and weld a new plate in

    If it's just surface rust / hasn't rusted all the way through then wire-wheel back to bare metal, prep with a rust proof primer and repaint

    That spot is common for Nissan's, so be prepared to go for option 1
