Not really its full circuit drifting on a fast track. Go pod and learn to link the big track without spinning then go Lydden.

Not fun for the people who have to stop and avoid people spinning and fucking up. A FCD drift day isn't for beginners. Bob wouldn't allow beginners at Mallory and that worked well it was safe and maximum seat time. I know the numbers were different but the point remains.

thats why they have split sessions, Novice session is for people too learn and have a crack / pratice and get better and more consistant.

we all have to start somewere and a local fun track is a good place to start....
    Keep it fun :)

sure i saw you spin out at the bdc day in nov at lydden:D, We cant all be talking a good skid forever :smokin: people have to start somewhere, rather at a track then on the street.

I'd only done 1 day at pod + 1 at silverstone car park day before i tried lydden, as Phil says we split people in groups according to skill level so pro's like yourself dont have the issue of novices trying to learn blocking your way

I dont know what the problem is ?? as its split into groups so you "big boys" can do your thing in the pro group and let us noobs have fun learning in ours :)

I'll be paying on the 25th for this. The novice group doesnt eat into to pro groups time but without them the days wouldn't get the numbers needed to run.

    Get your bookings in people!

IMO groups are gay. The first Lydden day i did worked really well as a proper open pit lane. It meant i could go out skid, tweak the car, chill, discuss, then go out and test again when ever. But using the groups means you have to rush around changing tyres, setup etc and ruins it. Not as relaxed and enjoyable. I kill a set of tyres in about 5 laps if im lucky maybe less. So 10 mins out of that 15 is wasted....

Get organised Rick, start each session with 2 pairs booted up then make some friends so you can swap them quicker mid-session. :wack:

Then your rushing around like you would if you had a 5 minute rule at a BDC round then it no longer becomes a fun chilled out relaxed practice/testing day lol.

    Nail head.

    'pro' group, what.. 10 drivers?

Novice group, 25 + spilling into Inter.

    Says a lot?

Yeah; I would say pod is best to go learn the basics.... But to be fair to the 'Dover' area lads... would you travel to pod when Lydden is 5 mins up the road?

If it means it saves Lydden/ensures the price says the same... i'm game, as long as its groups, I never said it would work but does really well.

There was what, all of 40 cars that day... 90% experienced IIRC. So yeah'course it worked well as open pit lane

    Hence...

Then you wouldn't be rushing around.

Clive i am extremely organised. But changing tyres to get back out for the remaining 8/10 mins is gonna be a fucking rush! Lol
