My s15 is going in for a remap in a couple of weeks and just wondering what sort of power I should expect?

    Spec
    sr20det vvt removed.
Holset hx30w 9cm exhaust housing vband fitment, anti surge/ported compressor housing.
    Japspeed topmount manifold
Tial 38mm external wastegate with the stiffest spring available.
    Huge custom downpipe
    full 3" exhaust system.
    Nismo 740cc injectors.
    Z32 afm with apexi filter
    sard fpr
    z32 fuel filter
    hks 264 camshafts
    circuit sports rocker stoppers
    circuit sports cam gears
    brian crower springs
    Apexi power fc with commander
    ngk bkr8iex plugs
    nismo supercoppermix clutch
    255ltr fuel pump.

I'm not really sure what sort of power I will get from this setup. Hoping for around the 360-400bhp range.

Any opinions or experience would be great. Cheers kev

Personally I think your cams are well OTT for a HX30.

I'd like for you to see 400, it should be able to do so, but I've never really seen anyone push a HX30 much. If you want 400 you need to run decent boost. 1.5bar+

They spool up out of cock all, people have seen almost 400lbft on an SR from them at 1.3bar or so, but I can't even recall anyone getting more than 350 from one.

Either way, like all Holsets, they make good torque for the boost level, and despite the OTT cams it should be a lot of fun.

    Cheers Stavros,
As I said I'm hoping for 360+ bhp but drivability is what I'm really aiming for! The more torque I can get the better! If my sr can cope i'll run 1.3 bar+ boost and wasn't going to go for hks 264 cams but talking to jez at Horsham developments who's mapping the car, he recommended them? Well no matter what the results I will post them up.

Torque = Boost, so the more you run, the more you'll have.

Drivability won't be a problem as the ones I've seen on SRs hit full boost around 3500rpm max, which is plenty fast.

You've got a nice big downpipe etc, not the crappy 2.5in most seem to have, so I'd be surprised if you don't hit 350bhp at least if you're running 1.3bar+.

Hopefully the Jez mapping goes well and you get a good reliable car.

    Cheers mate,
yeah the elbow is massive into a twin 2.5 superlow downpipe back into a 3" cat back which shouldn't be restrictive! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and it transforms the car and I can finally enjoy it, instead of working on it.

Yeah bud, it's not good.. but on the plus side the hy35 should be better for my setup. I can't even comment on the performance of the hx30 as it broke before I even got to drive it :(
