Hi there, i have done hours and hours of searching to no real sucess. Problem is in my 180sx with a s15 sr20det. When in neutral there is no ticking, tapping noises when car is reved. If i put it in gear and rev the ticking starts around 2000rpm also while driving under light throttle it ticks, taps. If i unplug the vtc solinoid there is no sound any time. I got a second hand solinoid and was better for a while but its come back. Every other thread i can find and watch on youtube the ticking tap sound is there on idle not just under load. If there are any pros out there could you please shed some light. thanks, john
