Guy's and Gilrs please can you keep your eyes peeled for the two cars below, these belong to Lee (forum member Leet) a good friend of mine and Skirm's.

The were both stolen from his house in the Wednesbury area late last night or early hours this morning, he and his wife are understandably both gutted :(

    The two cars are:

2011 Megane 250 RS (Newly powdercoated Antracite wheels & Carbon wrapped badges which I did for him)

2007 Clio 197 F1 (Standard apart for decat)

Please let me know if anyone see's or hears anything of either of the cars.

The car was reported shortly after in hit and run cases but she couldnt even stay at home because the dick took the flat keys.. seriously, alot of scum out there.. :(

    This.

my friend has a automobile key programming business doing new keys for Bentley etc.

35 seconds from start to finish and your cars gone with the right bit of kit.

Its getting easier for the professional, but harder for the noobie

no amount of programming is gonna flick a cleverly hidden kill switch on the fuel pump though, or magic up a steering wheel that isnt there :D

    This sucks :(

There seems to be two kinds of thief atm... ones that break in to steal your keys and ones with equipment to reprogram a key to take the car

    Both scum

well yea and either way it seems like someone is stealing your stuff which is just outright wrong!!

Alot of people on here work hard to get the things they want and save alot to buy things and in 1 swoop bang some wanker has had away with it. just makes you feel like nothing is safe!!

We should do like they do in other countrys and chop there bloody fingers off, teach the scum bags!

Chopping off limbs is abit harsh, but the current punishment for pretty much any crime is wank which obv drives criminals.

Stealing something significant from someone is quite psychological, because even if it is returned the item is not viewed in the same light by the owner and they often feel very personally violated - especially in the company of said item.

Meanwhile the criminal will probs serve a month or so in prison IF they get caught and IF they prosecute.

A car doesn't have to be driven away to be stolen though - my drift car was taken from my garage a few weeks back, locked garage, locked and alarmed car with no steering wheel, most likely they towed it away.
A set of mole grips would be enough to steer the car with.

A friend of mine had a car stolen in broad daylight in the middle of the city by some guys with a tow truck.

Don't assume because the car isn't driveable that it is safe!

A professional thief will probs have a GPS/GSM jammer, meaning all but the most expensive of trackers are not a great help.

Altho if they turn the jammer off before they've found the tracker you might still get a lock.
