I have 6 years trade insurance ncb, with previously 6 years private car insurance. I'm wanting to change back to private car insurance, but the car is a standard Isuzu Trooper 4x4, anyone been able to do this and keep ncb?

It doesn't seem worth sticking with trade, as prob wont bother buying/selling much now with new tax laws. Trade was gonna be £131 mth, can get it down to under £50 with 6 yrs ncb if they accept them, or under £70 with 0 ncb.

I know years back when I looked at going back to private from trade on my cossie they told me I could not transfer ncb from trade to private as to do with some sort of legal thing might be different now but knowing Insurance company's I doubt it
