So I stripped my manifold off my old t25 today ready for the swap, Iv got the stock cast manifold but it doesn't clear the compressor housing? It clears the outlets rom he intercooler pipe as it's had a bit welded on but the flange plates don't sit flush...
was wondering if I got some longer studs and put a square flange plate in as a spacer with two gaskets obviously
    any suggestions?

Get some pictures up, sounds like you're doing something wrong.

I think you may have to 'clock' the turbo, basically the exhaust and compressor housings can be rotated around the centre core. Get it all freed up and moving, put the exhaust one in place then you have to line up the core with the water and oil ways, then the compressor housing with where you want the outlet to face.

The angle of the exhaust manifold is different on a CA than on an SR20, that's why it needs to be done.
