WARNING THIS CAR WILL OFFEND YOU IF YOU HAVE ANY TASTE. IT HAS PRIMER PAINT, STUPID STICKERS AND CHERRY BOMB EXHAUSTS THAT ONLY A 17 YEAR OLD LIKES. DO NOT TAKE THIS CAR SERIOUSLY OR YOU MAY BECOME A KEYBOARD WARRIOR. hero's and haters welcome So I have got myself a drift project I give you the Gentleman drifter, its an S type jaguar 3.0 v6 manual. The plan is to loose some weight by stripping the interior, lower it and stiffen it and add some stickers for extra power.. {}
My dad drives one of these, when I drive it Im terrified at the thought of even trying to skid it, it's so big and wobbley :,) and that's coming from someone with an E46 Touring with a full interior! Fair play though I've only seen one other S Type drift car so exclusivity is in your favour [emoji41]
Update... Started to strip the interior out. Here is the Engine.. not planning on doing alot to this at the moment. I was speaking with a guy at work about going to Japfest at the weekend and looking to see what rear back boxes are on sale. He said he had one i could have just need to get it to fit now.
Your going a bit far with weight loss, you wanna keep the steering wheel. Oh and the exhaust should be fitted under the car. Fair play for going for something different.
Cheers all. not sure how this project will turn out, hoping to do a few basic mods to it and then see how it goes. Will be a slow project i think as its not a daily or anything so can sit for a bit if need.
I have removed the centre console now and also removed the rear bumper as im going to remove the spare wheel well. whats peoples opinions on removing the rear crash bar, or should i just cut it smaller and keep some of it incase of light knocks to the rear.
Time for a bit of an update... Lots of pics Sprayed the wheels green... going to re do them though as its a really bad job. Rubbed the Bodywork down so i can spray it.. this is on hold due to the wet weather. removed the the old tape deck.. it was causing a short and draining the battery Fitted bucket seats. got a new steering wheel added some stickers to it. Got some lowering springs. Top pic is before the springs were fitted and below they are fitted. not much difference though. new gear knob fitted Added some stickers. Custom fitted a dodgy air filter and also removed the Traction control. And lastly got some cherry bombs to go on the back, thought i'd cut the bumper away abit too as they were hitting and got carried away. Seem to be getting alot of comments from people i know, mostly negative though as they think it looks ruined
+1 on the ruined comments. It does. But it's all in the name of fun so let loose it looks like a good craic nice job
+2 on the ruined comments! Should have left it standard looking and just stripped it out.. you've fu*#ed a very clean, rare car!
It is now ruined, but fuck it. You'll soon be bouncing it off all sorts of shit so it'll look worse anyways. Personally I would have just stripped it and stiffened it. It looks awful now.
I am planning on finishing the paint job, just time and weather permitting as its being done on the drive.
